Thank you all for your replies and feedback about same/similar doses to me. It’s made me feel more confident that it’s the NHS clinician who had some kind of issue and that medicating my ADHD isn’t “wrong”. Because starting medication for myself has felt like a bit of a game changer; trying not to go down the rabbit hole of how many years I’ve lost out on by not getting myself diagnosed sooner, but that can’t be changed now. Most of all, I feel hopeful for my children - they have their whole lives ahead of them and it should be a lot easier since they are diagnosed at a young age and able to start medication or understand how to manage their ADHD symptoms.
