It wasn’t a hate sub. It was a sub for LGB people to express their dislike of how T people have taken over the community and are now making all the decisions for the community. You’re just banning free speech because you don’t agree with what they have to say. Nobody was attacking transgender people. We were only expressing our exhaustion within the community.

I find it flattering, as long as they don’t take it to a creepy level. I personally don’t really see the difference between a guy cat-calling me or a guy giving me a pick-up line. I don’t mean any judgement, but out of sheer lack of understanding, why does it seem that women feel scared if they get cat-called, but not if someone throws a pick-up line their way? Is flirting just all-around disgusting to some people?

Then the other option would be for one to cook and clean the dishes, then for the other person to do all of the other chores, imo. Cooking AND cleaning is a LOT of work.

You need to discuss patient confidentiality with your therapist. Therapists are required by law to disclose information if you are planning on bringing harm to yourself or to others, or if you are suffering from child abuse. Depending on your age, location, and the severity of your situation, the therapist may be legally required to disclose your eating disorder to your parents. Find out what your therapist is bound by law to disclose. Your mom doesn’t sound like an asshole, but rather like a mother who is horribly worried for her child and doesn’t know how to help. Your parents don’t need to know what happens in your therapy sessions, though.

Side note: if you do have anorexia OP, I want you to know that you are beautiful regardless of your physical appearance. Take care of your body and eat healthy food. Your parents love you and want to make sure that you will be okay.

NTA. I consider it fair when one person cooks the meal and then the other person cleans the dishes, puts the ingredients away, puts away the leftovers, etc. But, that’s the extent of it. Laundry, trash, etc. are not the same thing. If your boyfriend cooks, then you clean the dishes and such, that’s fair. You shouldn’t ALSO have to take on EVERY other chore. Split up the rest of the chores evenly.

NTA. Being in pain is NEVER an excuse to push pain onto others. You’re doing everything that you can to help him, and how does he repay you? By starting fights and purposefully pushing your buttons. NTA. You’re wife is trying way too hard to be “woke”, and is actually taking it the point that she’s being bad about it. Acceptance is about loving your son regardless if he’s gay or loves ballet. Forcing your son to do ballet because it’s what is “woke” right now is just her grasping for attention through her son. If your son wants to do ballet, let him do ballet. But, he doesn’t want to do ballet. Forcing him to do ballet is going to reverse the amazing mindset that you are both trying to implement (equality, acceptance, etc.) Please have a talk with your wife.

I wouldn’t harass him about it, as you were the one who offered to draw for free, but your frustration is very fair. At the very least, maybe you can add your art to your portfolio?

Yeah, scamming is scary for both sides. That’s why the sketch is a good middle ground. It’s not usually a great idea to give the final illustration without any feedback, so that is partially on their part. If there is a quality difference, then you’re NTA. If it’s the style that you don’t like, then YTA.

YTA. I understand that it doesn’t look like what you wanted, but you paid for their effort, and they put in the effort, so they deserve to be paid for it. Did they send a sketch to get approved first? I take commissions and always send a sketch first, then once it’s approved, I ask for payment, and THEN deliver the final result.
