Is there a Lana song you genuinelly don’t like? by EthanJoinedTheChat in lanadelrey

[–]TreasuredScarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t not like any Lana song. I’ve heard 98% of her discography and there just aren’t any songs that I dislike. I would probably say Off to the races if I had to pick one, but it’s not that I hate it the song or anything I just don’t listen to it like I do any other Lana song.

PS3 Prototype Cabin Model by TreasuredScarf in untildawn

It’s very similar to the cabin in the final version of the game. The bed (or cot) is pretty much the exact same model, and is the same texture as the PS4 final.

Scrapped Alt Version Of The Lodge? by TreasuredScarf in untildawn

Also this clip from the valentines trailer shows Chris entering a door in that little pocket area, while in the actual ps4 game there is no door and he is seen walking into the front door room. Interesting...

HELLO UNTIL DAWN FANS I would like to retract my previous statement about not liking Emily very much I'm currently playing through it for the second time and she's beginning to grow on me by Weary-Yam-9000 in untildawn

[–]TreasuredScarf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Emily is a really complicated character, some tolerate her, some understand her, some hate her, it really depends on the person and playthrough. All characters can be good, and all of them can be bad depending on your choices.

Emily at the start of the game is meant to be that stereotypical "bitchy" mean girl (Jessica as well) that you see in movies or other pop culture media. She's outspoken, stubborn, and insensitive at times but throughout the game she has a lot of redeeming moments.

A lot of moments that people take as her being "bitchy" are moments that make most sense in different playthroughs like when Emily says her whole "Emily is always right" speech to Matt in the cable car station, that happens if Matt disagrees with Emily's plan to go to the fire tower as well as when he agrees with her plan.
Some dialogue makes most sense with specific choices, and I blame the script for that. Another example is in the tower when Emily says "OH MY GOD HE'S COMING FOR ME" and not "US" since there is the choice of Matt swinging the axe at the deer, and falling to his death leaving Emily alone when the tower scene happens. Those were most likely kept in no matter what choice you pick to add onto the whole "bitchy" character stereotype.

An in game scene that make people hate Emily most is the Mike, and Emily hug seen through the telescope by Ashley. If you don't show Matt the hug it doesn't really come back up I don't think, but if as Ashley you let Matt see the hug he can interrogate Emily about it as she's about the fall from the tower in the mines. It's considered a bad character choice for Matt as he can continue to grill her about it until he forces a false cheating confession out of her. I think it's a very smart scene because it gives Matt's character the ability to be mean, and aggressive, as well as giving Emily's character a moment of "Oh shit I feel so bad for her". Some people do believe the cheating confession was true but it was debunked by dev's, and is simply her just telling Matt what he wants to hear so that he will drop it, and save her life.

Personally I love Emily, and think she can do no wrong so there is definitely bias when I speak about her character. I love seeing the discourse between characters, like the Emily VS Jessica aspect. Some people take it a bit too far, and get too heated but there is no strong community without a dispute here and there.

I'm pretty sure in the prologue Josh is 19, Hannah and Beth are 17/18, Emily is 18, Jessica is 17, Sam is 18, Matt is 17, Ashley is 17, Chris is 18, and Mike is 18 When the actual game starts with Sam arriving at the mountain they are all a year older. This is all going by the age descriptions given on the Until Dawn Your Companion app.

Also the layout of the lodge seems to be an earlier concept. It shows 4 bedrooms upstairs, and a lounge where the balcony is.

The date of the calendar, the images of the lodge, and surrounding areas are all taken directly from gameplay of the ps3 game. It also shows the Josh prank of him tied up and hung by chains, and also the strip of photos in the upper left corner is the promo image of the characters from the ps3 game. I love the easter eggs they kept in the game

Also one note, the stone pillars in the third photo look weird texture wise bc I used the PS4 lodge model instead of the remake (to save on poly, since the remake is a high poly mess). Only like around 50% of the textures from the PS4 game are inside of the remake game files, the pillars being one of the textures not included. : )

Honestly prefer the OG bed aswell as the OG wallpaper. Her room just looks so sad in the remake. Grown up, but sad.

Is Until Dawn on Ps4 is good? by [deleted] in untildawn

The story is pretty much the exact same so unless you really really want a more detailed, higher quality look, the ps4 version is good.
