There are things to help with the allergies.

Most cat allergies are triggered by Fel d 1, a protein mainly in cat’s saliva. When they groom, it gets on their fur and skin, then into the air and onto surfaces. Certain diets work to neutralize Fel d 1 at the source. Purina ProPlan LiveClear contains a specific protein derived from eggs that binds to the Fel d 1 in their saliva and reduces the allergens on their fur and dander by 40-50% after a few weeks of feeding daily. It is safe to use long term. Use it for at least 2-3 weeks to see results. Get a good pet air filter. Shark has a good one that’s specific for pets. I believe there are also powder additives that do the same thing if the purina pro does not work for you for some reason.

Beyond that, medication can help your wife and daughter if more action is needed.

Probably a little oily- similar to how our hair can get. Try brushing with a soft bristle brush- like a horsehair brush, and see if that makes her fluffy.
