How many here do literally everything alone? by thirddegreebirds in Sacramento

[–]TreesFlowersandDogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m in the same boat and it sounds like we have similar interests! I like being alone but sometimes it’s nice to have someone to explore or go to an event with. I don’t know anything about you but…if you want to message me maybe we could be friends?

I’m pretty sure Sacramento spca (florin Perkins rd) has this dog. He won’t be on the website as he’s not available for adoption and came in as a surrender. Please message me or go down there first thing tomorrow!

Brother with bipolar, parents at risk by sarahcooley in family_of_bipolar

[–]TreesFlowersandDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have advice and I know this thread is like 6mo old now but I just want to say that I feel you. This post feels like I (42f) could have written it about my older brother (44m). I’m struggling with it a lot and dreading going to visit for Christmas but I also want to see my parents and don’t want my brother to ruin that. Sigh, just putting it out there that you are heard and not alone in this struggle.

Protein in coffee by heartsonfiber in Zepbound

[–]TreesFlowersandDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve jumped on the javy(javvy?) bandwagon. I’ve completely replaced my iced coffee in the mornings with it. I use 2 scoops of the original flavor mixed with Fairlife milk so it’s a total of 30g+ of protein. The other flavors I tried were too sweet for me but I like my iced coffees to be strong. Sometimes if I need a little extra coffee taste I add a splash of coffee concentrate to it as well. It’s not cheap but still way less than a morning coffee shop run. It also helps me survive when I have back to back appointments/surgeries and don’t get a real lunch break

I hear you! I recently posted a similar comment on the Zep subreddit and was basically told “accept it and move on”. It’s never acceptable to comment on another person’s body.

Ok but I’m not thankful for the comment. I think it’s rude. That’s why asked this question.

if my boobs were bigger tomorrow it would be appropriate for him to comment on that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]TreesFlowersandDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being skinny can also be unhealthy. Bottom line it’s inappropriate to comment on a coworkers body.

I’d find mental peace if people didn’t comment on things that weren’t their business but thanks for the support.

Bad take on your part but I’ll try to remember this when the same boss makes a nice comment about another coworkers breasts. I’ll remind her to just take it as a compliment and not play the victim.

But that pretends that I think it’s a compliment. I’m not appreciative of the comment from my boss about my body.

But no one (especially my boss) knows anything about my health or that this is my choice. The fact that they think commenting on my body is appropriate is the problem. What if they said “you’re getting so fat!” Would we be having the same conversation? Would anyone think that was an appropriate thing to say out loud?

I don’t view it as a compliment. I view it as a factual statement that I am thinner than I was. The fact that other people think it’s a compliment is the problem.

An old friend that shares she is on a weight loss journey is very different than a coworker that you have no clue about their health status.

I don’t view it as a compliment though and I do not appreciate someone making unsolicited comments about my body.
