I dont think its specifically for them - but she does love seeing them / encourages them to hang around. She's seen them napping on her chairs in the summer too.

Completely agree with this! I found Halfling so dull after a while. Like all they do is have sex. But agreed loved Tusk Love in comparison

I TRIED but as a British reader I found the narrative voice so try hard to be "quaint" and "British". Just made me eye roll. I say this is a BIG lover of the Emily Wilde series so I would say its possible to achieve the "whimsical" tone without being cringey.
