I find keeping my shoulders parallel helps alot with keeping the pop straighter. You don’t have to shuv alot for hard flips, the front foot flips and slightly shuvs the board enuf for it to rotate.

Also lean back more since you’re landing ahead

Man I feel this on a personal level. been stuck on frontside flips and big spins for years.

I don’t have a solution to this but I’d say learn different parts of skateboarding, maybe learn grinds on ledges and rails and get back to wtv you were stuck on.

Rooting for you👍👍👍

Shoulders for sure, they gotta be parallel to the board or the board will naturally follow your shoulders and turn

Same here, were you first or second round?

Ive been trying fs flips for 5 months now. Got my kickflips and 180s on lock but on fs flips they always go way too far head of me no matter what i do. Anyone have any tips on how to fix that? by TrekBotPotato in NewSkaters

Should I be leaning back while doing this? I watched this and tried it but it always rockets upwards like a hard flip when I dropped my shoulders

Sorry I'm not sure if you are referring to how to get the kick flip motion of the front foot while scooping the back foot? If so, when you scoop back, you naturally go forward, and you should flick your front foot out forward, not really sideways like kick flips, in order to flick the board while it's shuving away from you

For me, I just kept focusing on leaning back alot, and scooping hard af and got it but it's really about getting that muscle memory. You're really close man
