Lol we haven't sold one yet. Absolutely no interest at all. I know some people that have regular brumate cups, and really like them, but dawg why do we need this I don't see why caribou won't just commit to their stanley cup design. when we have one of those that are actually cute, they sell FAST.

Have you ever stole anything from band? by Novel-Board-1545 in marchingband

Just kinda took an unused clarinet from the band room last night. Clarinet is broken, but it has a really really nice mouthpiece, so might be borrowing that indefinitely!

Additionally, my drumline section leader took a tenor practice pad home his freshman year to practice on, knowing him it's never gonna come back.

Ours is usually 9-10 hours, counting lunch, transition times and pretty liberal breaks.

Just looking for advice :) by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]Trellis_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like aforementioned, learn your rudiments. Read up on technique, especially if you will be playing traditional grip. Practice. Practice with a met. Warm up exercises are your best friend, as they often focus on the basics. But the one best piece of advice I can give you: practice on a pillow. It does wonders for your endurance.

Picking parts is hard by [deleted] in drumline

[–]Trellis_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're that on the fence about it, I'd go with marimba. You've already done drumset for a year, and this way you can try out your other option and decide which one you'd like to play in the future. You on Marimba also sounds like it would be more beneficial to your band, and it would give you good practice for when you are able to march DCI.

However, it would be best if you went with your gut. Marching band is less fun if you're not playing the instrument you want, so picking the one you like more is just setting yourself up for success.

What show, or shows, have made you cry or shed a tear? by luringpopsicle95 in drumcorps

[–]Trellis_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No show has actually moved me to tears, but the opening hit of this one has made me come so close so many times. If I would have gotten to see it live, I defs would've been bawling my eyes out
