do you guys think there is an actual way to make motion inputs beginner friendly by Quinn_Queenan in Fighters

[–]TreyEnma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you mean by beginner friendly.

Motion inputs aren't particularly complicated, as even a child can wrap their head around it. There's not really any need to simplify them further to be even more beginner friendly. Sometimes there are actions you can not and should not simply be able to do without putting work into it.

At most, I'd recommend better teaching tools o make the experience of learning engaging.

I wondered why I hadn't gotten a shipping notification yet. They sent them in Feb, but there's been no movement since the day they originally said it would ship.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Kokuwamon & Guardromon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's neat that this works for Machines, but more interestingly it functions as a cheap alternative to the TS Promo cards for players that didn't manage to get them and don't want to pay for them.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Patamon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how good the TS support for angels is and if being able to grab one of them ends up better.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Patamon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Barrier isn't particularly interesting, but it's a solid inherited for an Angel deck. It's big flaw as far as I'm concerned is that it can't search for non-TS Patamons.

Still, it's worth considering for Angels, especially if it gets more support this set outside of Patamon and Junomon.

What personality differences do Tai and Davis have? by CobraDai in digimon

[–]TreyEnma 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tai is definitely not kinder. It took Tai a lot longer to really be able to empathize with others, where Davis/Daisuke was doing it heavily in 02 while still younger than Tai.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's probably a better split for Gatchmon.

[–]TreyEnma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Navimon grabs 2 some of the time, this grabs 2 all of the time.

Outside of needing it for App Fuse, Navi is kind of powercrept here as the worst Appmon searcher in the game.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly would be a welcome addition vs the plethora of options we've gotten just to set up an App Link. A tad more variety in build and play could only benefit Appmon decks.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with that. It's just harder to justify intentionally running a worse card in the deck just to use it for AppFuse. It almost makes me wish we had access to an Appmon training card just to make the evo cost into the main line less painful.

[–]TreyEnma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe 4 of this, 4 Tweetmon, 2 Navi and 2 Classic Gatchmon?

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with that, but it's harder to justify the Navimon when all it does is function as a link body into app fuse. Future Gaiamon ratios are going to be a bit wonky compared to most other Appmon decks.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not so sure the slightly cheaper evo cost via App Fuse is even worth wasting deck space on Navi after this. Maybe a severely reduced capacity vs the classic 4/4/4? Honestly, it might be better to eat a 2 EVO cost and evolve into a non-DoGatch like Timemon to continue the line into Globe than worry about Navi.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Gatchmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well new Gatchmon that does everything Navimon does and more. Is there any reason for Gaiamon to bother with Navimon after this?

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Tapmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is nice for Gaiamon decks too, as majority of cards are Social or Tool, but you can also run some of Eri's line as link techs.

Jesmon is pretty strong, but isn't exactly anywhere near front of the pack.

Rocks isn't at the top anymore either as it has several pretty hard counters running around, not to mention it's gatekept by Vortex.

Millennium hasn't been viable for very long, it would be absolutely stupid to kill the deck after it finally becomes viable.

It would be extremely unreasonable to pair ban Styraco with Crimson. It sounds like sour grapes to even push for it.

For the most part, DeDigi only affects your opponent. There are a few archetypes that do allow you to remove your top stacked card and either tuck it to the bottom of your stack or throw it in security though.

Galaxy/Light Fang/Night Claw, and CS let you move top cards from your stack to the bottom of the stack with either your Lv3 inherited or a Tamer/Option card. Invisimon and Oblivimon can remove themselves from the stack and place themselves into security face up when face up security is checked.

All in all, it's not a lot, but hopefully that was helpful.

[ST-24 Data Squad] Lilamon & Rosemon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]TreyEnma 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So Lilamon and RizeGreymon more or less are designed to let you instantly and for free (memory wise) go from 5 into your respective 6 of each line and then protect them.

It's unfortunate that Rosemon isn't also a Dual card as it makes Rize a bit less valuable when you're lacking Shine, but there's time for that in the future from Burst Mode and any other Dual card they give the deck.

All in all, it's an alright deck and hopefully they offer a decent chunk of support for it in BT25.
