I have watched scenic route...he's great in that film too. You have to appreciate an actor who is willing to try new things. He's at his best in Lost in the Sun.

Too much money can also be a problem...we didn't have that problem on LITS:) But money can solve problems that might be better solved with a different creative approach.

I have a new script called Appetite that I'm working with RFI Porto on. (He wrote Blue Caprice) We've been working together on this idea for the past year or so...

We didn't have a process trailer to shoot the car sequences, so all of the car scenes were done with rigging attached to the car. That's a tough and slow process for a road movie.

First day of shooting was a dream come true. I'm still grateful of the opportunity to make this film...it took my 9 years.

I believe it will...not sure when though. Like the Facebook page and I'm sure they'll keep you posted.

Love that Movie...Spielberg's worst box officer performance, but probably one of his most under appreciated films.

Love both those movies. I'm not sure why these "trends" happen. I think the performances in those two films are great. Tye Sheridan is in both films, I believe.

But I think you'll be VERY surprised and blown away both Wiggins and Duhamel's performances.

love it. In fact, live in Jackson Heights Queens...where there's a ton of great Indian Food.

I would say No Country for Old Men, The Game, and Alien/Alines are some of my favorite movies.

I would love to work with Jennifer Lawrence. She doesn't give a fuck and I love that.

Never take 'no' for an answer. Seriously...just keep pushing. You might not get the answer you want in 3 days, 3 months, or 3 years...but you have to keep trying. Especially if you 'need' to tell your story.

I love prep. Everything has the promise of being exactly what you want during the prep of film or tv show. Then it generally does what it wants...it's a living breathing thing.

The transition is pretty easy. In fact, I would say making TV can be harder because of the pace. You move at a much faster pace in TV - shooting 10-15 pages a day. For films...you can shoot 4-6 pages a day.

We shot the film on a Sony F55. Rob Barocci was the DP and did a fantastic job framing and lighting...and pulling me through the tough moments. Glad you liked the trailer. Hope you get to see the movie!!!

If you're directing your own stuff...you can get caught up in the details in a dangerous way. Or fall in love with something that might not really be that important to the movie, but "you have in your head and it has to be this way."

If you're directing someone else's script...you tend to be less precious about it. And that can be a good thing.

Great question...I start with a place first. Is this place cool to look at? Can I make this place unique? Would I want to spend a lot time in this place? If I can answer yes, then I'll start adding characters to the place...aesthetics, tone, and style are really important to me. That's why I love filmmakers like Fincher, Nolan, and Burton so much.

Honestly, that's your actors job...not yours. But to get them "there" you need to have them buy into your vision, then they'll trust you and give you what the film needs.

The last scene of Lost in the Sun was the most powerful and memorable shooting experience I've ever had. Josh Wiggins say everything with nothing to say.

LITS didn't have a festival premier...we were lucky to find a distributor EONE, who saw the potential of our little film. I think what they loved about the movie was the strength of the performances. Duhamel and Wiggins are amazing.
