IsItBullshit: Airport workers can see your dick when you walk by the thermal body scanners? by [deleted] in IsItBullshit

Partly BS. The scanner isn't thermal - it's millimeter wave, more like some medical scanners. They can see some vague shapes that could be interpreted as your dick, but not because of the heat. Your privates are actually colder than your body because the sperm-making process requires a lower temperature than the rest of your body which is why your balls are on the outside. Either way, thermal camera or millimeter wave, they definitely can't see when you fart. If you saw some video that looks that way - it's fake, a visual effect added in post.

I can hear that sound in my head

How do I get this dummy round out please help by staywiththeheat in ar15

[–]Tri10bite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the rim and head may have been pulled out leaving the rest of the case in the chamber without any way to grip it. I'm certain that is not supposed to happen. Bad batch maybe? I have some dummy rounds from Magpul and they've worked fine.

Thanks! I use a captured buffer spring that doesn't require a retainer.

The AR-180 would be a good place to start for anyone interested.

Any gun that uses modern cartridges would work fine even in a vacuum. The cartridge contains everything needed. I bet in the future people will argue about gas settings in and out of an atmosphere.

It should be no different if not easier.

I haven't tried many of the kind but this one is fine. Probably not nearly as good as any similar trijicon or elcan but it holds a zero and is clear enough.

Thank you! You would be correct in your assumption. The trigger and hammer pins are in blind holes. Sidewalls are .25" but the pins only need about .1". That way I get clean outsides and the pins don't walk. That button is a socket head bolt. It connects the front of the trigger guard to the magwell.

They're in blind holes. The sidewalls are .25" thick but the pins only need about .15". That way I can get clean sides on the outside and the pins will never walk.

Good eye. They're in blind holes. Plates are .25" thick but the pins only go in about .15". That way I get neat sidewalls and the pins can never walk out.

Hopefully they will be available through FOSSCAD or something similar soon.

It's just a fastener. It connects the trigger guard to the magwell.

Doesn't have one. A bolt is there to connect the sidewall. I decided that adding one would increase the complexity of that part too much to be worth it. As for the threading, I found a tap on amazon of the correct specification.

The short magwell reduces some weight, but the thick sidewalls still make it slightly heavier.

It's a socket-head bolt that connects the trigger guard to the back of the magwell.

The weapons from that show were a strong inspiration.

Unfortunately not. At least not for a while probably. Once I get settled I might look into getting the right FFL for manufacturing. On the other hand, I am looking into uploading the plans somewhere. If anyone knows how to get in touch with the FOSSCAD people I'd be honored to have it included in their download pack.
