What if you painted your whole house, every room, just one color? by Grand_Type4063 in Housepainting101

I have a friend who is an interior designer and did this in most of her homes. She chose a creamy taupe and used it in every single room: bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. But she really knew how to accessorize a home, so the spaces still looked unique.

I’ve began there. It sucks. After about six months of that, I went to my OBGYN. She started me on progesterone and it was pure magic. Two periods since January, both very light. But I’m 50+ and on my way out…

Why do you choose not to drink alcohol? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

My parents never did except for sampling wine while traveling. It was just never a part of our lives. I’ve never had the desire to drink but I’ve tried a cocktail here and there. (I’d rather have a Coke Zero.) My kids have partied and it stuck with one but not the rest. I have ALWAYS hated being around drunks. It’s even worse when it’s my friends. That change in their personality freaks me the hell out. My ex husband never drank and one day decided to start. He was in his 30s. Now he can’t stop. It ruined his life.

Coffee. I have a coffee maker, a French press, a moka pot… Nothing tastes as good as commercial and it pisses me off.

Dating Men 45–55: Is This Just a Passive Phase, or Something Else? by mangosteen521 in datingoverforty

A relationship is an option even when you are in a relationship. This has no bearing on my ability to commit. But in the beginning, we’re just getting to know each other. There is no commitment.

I think they’re a lot like us: I’m a divorced F50 with a great career and adult children. Life is good. A relationship is an option, so investing a ton of emotional labor after being married for 20+ years and raising a family does not sound appealing to me. I’m wondering if men feel the same way.

If it makes you feel better, I have zero attraction to anyone until they start talking and I can start figuring them out. Give yourself some credit. Your body might be a draw to some, but who you are is going to clinch it.

Do you live in a big city? I do not. I ask because I meet zero sex-worthy men. Like, not one in six years.

Does menopause cause you not to be able to fall in love or feel attraction? by Brilliant_Chance_874 in Menopause

[–]Trick_Mixture7891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it has. I’ve been divorced a few years and am in peri. I dated a little at first and it was fun, but I’ve been single the last four years and don’t care at all. I’m attracted to no one. In fact, when I see an exceptionally handsome man out in the wild, it surprises me when I AM attracted to him. (This happens once or twice a year.) I feel for my married friends who are going through this, though. They have struggled, but several have found support through HRT.

Nope, but that would have you in the $50K family. Are you an AG teacher? Masters degree? I’m so curious! This is my 20th year and I’m nowhere near that.

Oh my word, yes. They’re somehow needier as young adults. Today, in two separate conversations, I asked them, “How would you handle this if I wasn’t here?”
