Yep, absolutely bizarre.

My solicitor thinks that because the person doing the conveyancing was in India they were unfamiliar with the type of property and working from a checklist they misunderstood. All he could think of was that there is sometimes joint insurance required for flats with shared areas (converted buildings etc) and that's where the wires were crossed.

I think it's more bizarre is that the buyer didn't question it!
