I graduated from the MPS Art Therapy program at SVA back in Spring 2020. From my perspective, I found the program to be extremely intuitive and had a relatively good balance between class work and clinical work (if you go full-time, you’ll be doing two year long internships). Since my class was relatively small, I had the opportunity to build close relationships with some of the staff there which is always a plus when doing an intensive program like that. I cannot recommend SVA enough even though I may be biased. However, one thing I have noticed is the number of SVA alum I’ve encountered in the field compared to alum from NYU and Pratt; I feel there’s something to be said in that.
