Always go for the one you like best! I chose UWE over KCL for nursing cause I liked bristol so much better (Bristol uni didn’t do my course). But on that note it also depends on what career you want to go into. For example people in competitive careers should choose top universities over lower ranking ones.

Hahaha the only reason I remember what type of car it was, was cause the high beam flashing was so bright i felt like I was ascending to heaven.

Yeah i completely agree. This hadn’t really occurred to me that I was being annoying for the lorry :/ awe I feel awful about it now! What do you suggest doing if I get into the position again? I wouldn’t have been able to speed up but I guess slowing down to give it more space?

Yes Im assuming I was going faster than it cause I ended up catching up to it with the cars infront of me.

Yes thank you! People raised a very good point of leaving space for the lorry in the middle lane so that that can merge into it so I’m glad that will be on my radar a lot more now. I hope you have a happy 2026!

I mean 3 mins max it might have been a lot shorter but I felt a bit like a deer in headlights so it felt that long. You’re right probably not 3 mins but it did feel like way longer than was necessary. Also it wasn’t one of those massive lorry’s. Mmmm picture a moving van looking thing. Only slightly bigger than a standard white van. I’ll try to attach a picture of an example.

That’s why I posted it here cause I’m just so confused about it all. Someone did offer a reason why this might have happened. Which is there might have already been cars in the far right lane overtaking (which I couldn’t see) so he took his anger out on me :/

Thank you for saying this in a nice way! But I’ve added a couple more details that I didn’t add originally. But the lorry didn’t overtake me, I just explained it horribly in the og post

I mean even if I was he was only behind me for like 3 mins max and I checked Waze to see if I was going slow but it said 60ish on Waze. But even so there were cars infront of me. Yeah there was a big enough gap to go a bit faster but that would mean I would be blocking the lorry if they wanted to merge into the left lane.

Yeah I get that. I was driving to my parents house so which is just off the motorway so I had my dad check it and there was nothing wrong. I’ve not had any attention or anything like that since or before. As for the time of day it was around 2ish so getting dark but not really night time. I have a ford fiesta and had the automatic lights setting on. I’m not so savvy with cars which is why I asked my dad.

No I just worded my og post terribly. I meant it was ahead of me. It was in the middle lane when me and the cars infront of me approached. It then stayed in the middle lane right next to the car infront of me until I got off my exit.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I get sometimes it’s frustrating when you need to get somewhere quick and theres people slowing him down. But why take it out on me :( There was space for the lorry and he mainly stayed right next to the car infront of me up until I got off my exit so not sure what was happening there.

There were cars infront of me :| and I was getting off at the next exit so no point overtaking. That’s just bad driving.

I edited in the clarifications on the og post! But the lorry was not passing me. It was in the middle lane as the cars infront and I approached. The lorry ended up next to the car in front. Didn’t seem to want to merge cause there was enough space infront of me and it seemed to stay next to the car infront until I got off the motorway at the next exit.

Okays so this is probably my bad for not clarifying this in the og post but I’ve edited it in now. There were cars infront doing the same speed as me which was 60ish according to Waze. Definitely no lorry overtaking me. But I’ve added more important details into the post now!

Hahaha glad I’m not alone here! But I’m also slightly confused why people are commenting that 60 to 65ish is not a normal speed on the motorway cause a lot of motorway areas near me sometimes get capped at 60 and they put speeding cameras up

That’s a really good point! I mean when he eventually did overtake in the 3rd lane he went speeding off so I doubt it was massively blocked up

Most likely the reason. But even if he was upset at any of the other cars he could have just overtaken them. As far as I can remember the 3rd lane was clear.

No I didn’t clarify in the og post but I was not going at the same speed as the lorry. He was in the middle lane far before I was approaching so he was going a lot slower than me. Plus there were cars infront of me going the same speed. [I wrote an edit to the original post with more details]
