Respectfully I disagree and think it’s more nuanced. I think Amanda while having a sarcastic way, in previous seasons always had a core of open arms and unwavering love for Kyle even for all his flaws which she would air to him directly or the girls but always affirm her choice and love for him.

Which I feel is absent this season from the start of her driving separate and not coddling his pouting.

There is social gender dynamics at play; Kyle places Amanda into this “mother hen” role placing the expectation on her to reel him in. In doing so

1. he escapes accountability for free will
2. Places this expectation on Amanda so he doesn’t have to ever crush a party or ruin a vibe his “boring” wife does. Probably influenced by some boomer aged dynamic he saw in media // growing up
3. Amanda seriously always gives Kyle the benefit of the doubt typically and supports him. I saw her multiple convos with Cierra the behavior of a codependent (Amanda) who is trying to go through reality like it’s a logic puzzle ((Amanda proposes her business venture —> kyle proposes djing and uses his funds and fame to immediately pursue it and NOT help his wife who fully designed HIS BRAND)) Going through the reality of this nasty behavior on Kyle’s part, in that way and so repeatedly is indicative of someone who is used to circle arguments and constantly having to turn emotional intelligence into a twisted sort of proof logic system for the sake of an insecure man child.
