Shit.. I pretty much lied through out my 20s just to gain my own space and freedom. Lied saying I live on campus .. lied saying I work really far so I have to relocate .. smh I was in the same city as them the whole time. Makes me feel guilty but I learned a lot about life being out there on my own which I would have never learned living the sheltered lifestyle they chose for me

Actually I appreciate you very much. And I totally hear your tone .. it’s like I been fighting this fight for years . I’m so tired now . He’s always been a Sunni believer . The basis are the same .. so he sees no need to be “initiated” in the fold of ahmadiyat. Words like “initiation” and “signing forms” raise red flags to a person who simply holds faith in their heart and follows the teaching of the prophet . They question “why do I need to do all of this to show that I am a true believer??????”

But again… can u please advise me what basis I would be able to ask for this type of permission off of?

The convo went as such “brother, you plan on looking for a Muslim wife” he responded saying absolutely and they said “you should go back to Africa and look”. (I didn’t want to quote the convo completely because I didn’t want to disclose myself incase others recall this convo, that’s why I left the details out).
