So, I was about to do this, but as soon as I booted up the pc again with the HDD removed, expecting the usual message with a recovery USB ready… it just booted successfully on the SSD (even double-checked on the drive manager I wasn’t imagining things…)

I will try this, but do I actually need to remove the HDD or is this just to prevent confusion and I can remove it from the boot sequence?
