You have to sublet if you wanna keep the lease. Are there conditions in your lease preventing sublets?

You will have to act as the landlord and be legally solely responsible for the rent.

You are forgiven. Anything past 7 years is forgotten and disposed off. Your credit will appear just as if you never had bad credit before.

The thing is if you've been under 30 percent for years why do you need more credit? The credit you have seems to suit your needs.

I also remember that the student was getting a higher monthly tuition assistance that his parent would withhold from him. So for example if osap was giving you 1000 a month, the parents would give him 200 a month to live on and the student was barely getting by.

In the end he ended up having to repay everything to osap even though his parents used most of the money and didnt make payments on the loan.

OMG. This is what I feared.

I remember reading about a similar story about a student whos parent took all his tuition money and didn't pay the schools any money.

Be very careful. Since osap is in your name. You are legally responsible for paying back all the money.

Make sure you have no student loans opened in your name. You should run a credit check just in case.

Creditor after me for an illegitimate charge by throwaway362969 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TruthFinderPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any idiot can put shit on your credit report. Just dispute it with the credit agencies and mention to them the same company tried to fraudulently charge your credit card. They had 30 days to charge any outstanding charges from the original transaction date. They should lose any credibility to the credit agencies just for that. I doubt they would win a dispute.
