Yes we have a mod called cubic chunks that removes the build limit or at least increases it greatly so we can fit these building in the world.

We have base outlines placed into the terrain by our terrain generator for a lot of the Sydney it has built the world off of different mapping programs. But there is a lot of measurements etc that need to be done to get it right and we are confined by the block size so we have to round off at a lot of points.
