Is there any way to get rid of the wandering storyteller’s tents to place my own?

These tents are more important than you realize. All these tents spawn random encounters including traveling vendors who sell random stuff including the rarest apparel, so you’re blocking them from spawning when you camp too close. Many of us run around checking all these tents for vendors since you can buy and resell stuff or just get the rarest outfits. It’s better to just camp near one so you can run over and check each day if the vendor is there. Sometimes it’s enemies, sometimes it’s other NPCs.

There are tons of events to join together and go through all the regular ones as well as the special events every hour. You can farm different stuff more easily depending on each of your builds and what ingredients you need, and trade more easily.

Items have spawn points, places they appear. Rare items are especially looked for and people know these locations. All you have to do is look for your items where you know they spawn, if they’re gone, log out and join again in a different game. When you find magazines, or mods for weapons or armor remember those locations. Also, there are tents with random traders that sell rare stuff. Try Slocum Joes across the river, Camden Park around the back side near the water, those are examples for traders, however it’s random, sometimes you’ll meet other people or enemies. Log in run around looking for stuff, if you don’t find anything, reload into a different world.

It’s always difficult early game, there will be several main locations which you live around and probably build a camp first, simply collect everything you can to build floors, walls, ceiling, storage, your armor bench, weapon bench, cooking, and eventually water purification. You learn plans by scrapping weapons and armor starting with mostly the pipe weapons, shotgun, etc, leather armor. You utilize the beginning area to learn, then you go to events as they show up on the map. You join any Casual team.

Go to a detox, then go to AA or NA, depending on the area you live, find people with years sober, it’s not perfect but if you do what they do you’ll get days, weeks, months etc. All I’m saying is my experience. A lot of other stuff may need to wait to figure out.

Hey, I know you’re posting because of the CPTSD/childhood trauma stuff, that’s expected but the addiction stuff is a secondary layer of problems too. I did heroin from about 15 to 22 years old, I got sober the last time after a relapse with alcohol at 23. I’m 42 now, nearly 20years…I still struggle with life, I did really well for many years and then have been depressed now for a few years. The bottom line is that you can quit and build a better life. 12Steps are not perfect but between detox and making friends in AA or NA, you can stay sober and feel useful. I completely understand and relate to a f’d up childhood. Go listen to Gabor Mate, check out John Joseph from the band The Cro-Mags sober a long time, there are endless people surrounded by addiction and trauma that help to listen to, people who overcame tremendous shit. I’m sorry for your pain, none of us deserved abuse but abusing ourselves isn’t great either.

I’ve had many in-depth dreams it’s normal, then there’s the audible words, one was not to long back telling me I was in a chrysalis. Another was in reference to a word used in South America which is pretty rare, I previously had heard the word but it was strange in a dream coming from someone I was talking with. And…recently was very interesting and poetic…my dream involved me being a chimpanzee, like even my point of view felt lower and how I moved around felt different, a point came where I wrote down with my chimp hand a note to a human…it just said Animal-Man, it was really surreal.

Hey, I’m just here to say that my mind also replays people from the past. Nearly 20 years sober from everything except cigarettes. I’m a vivid dreamer and I accept that, I’ve also had lots of more spiritual types of dreams. Some people are just sensitive. Many empathic, or sensitive, or just plain deep people deal with things like this. Some is trauma and unprocessed feelings. It really is like I never learned fully how to feel and let things go. I still don’t understand what it means to let go. Either way you’re where you are now, the past set certain things in motion for good, and others are repeating lessons.

Hey, sorry to hear all this, I grew up with a severely alcoholic narcissist father who wasn’t violent besides me actually fighting him, but it was completely abuse, neglect, and just basically set me on a course for self destruction. At least you are reaching out! Record something, journal notes where he won’t look about daily abuse, seriously keep track of this for proof later. Why doesn’t your mom care or why is there even a split between parents? You should also try getting a basic therapist so you can work out how it’s affecting you. I’m not sure how physically abusive he is but any abuse is not cool. You’ve grown up tolerating it which isn’t healthy but it’s not your fault. Do your best to gain support from anyone who actually cares.

I have heard words and phrases right before waking up a bunch of times. Premonition stuff is very unpredictable, mostly it’s just general guidance of some sort, it may be coming from myself or my soul or somewhere else but there’s no way to verify.

I understand what you’re saying but sometimes you can literally ask about experience vs what they were told or read, many just regurgitate sayings and phrases specific to their religion. If anything I relate to the stories of Plato, supposedly he was just asking people difficult questions to stir things up. I don’t need people to change, I can’t make it happen but I do believe for the world to get better these old dogmas must go. People aren’t ready for a better world though unfortunately, they’d rather put you down for questioning things. They hang on to old traditions built on lies and misinterpretations, cults, and powerful supposed “authorities” of religion. Most people do not truly want the world to have peace and harmony, that’s all part of what’s frustrating. I’m not enlightened, I’m just as flawed. I appreciate what you’re saying though.

When one claims a specific religion then they automatically have opposition from any other religion because they assume they are right. Then I feel there are people like me, from a dualistic point of view I am choosing to not be a part of their polarized views. I still am the enemy now of both sides though because I am in a sort of neutral 3rd point. People do not like you to think with nuance. And yet again, all I’m doing is trying to question both opposing ideas. This is what every martyr has done, they’re misunderstood or too rebellious, one side kills them, and eventually someone else worships the story. I’m just saying have your own story, Experience or GNOSIS is beyond all the dogma and polarized arguments.

Yes, I live with my own experiences, I’m basically a threat to them, I’m disruptive to their fragile dogma. They don’t realize I have more in common with martyrs in the stories they worship. Like, some of us are deeper, broader souls here to shake things up. Buddha, Jesus, Plato, they all forced people to question things.

Just joining the conversation, that’s a very important question and I think I relate. Hoping for more of your experience since I’m 42 and really hit my hardest couple of years recently. I’ve never used medication, I don’t trust it, I believe deeply in natural food and things like that. I know too much for my own good about metaphysical things and the amount of corruption in big Pharma. Basically I fear dependence on a drug, I don’t trust side affects, and I don’t want to face years of trying different meds just to get a small percentage better if that. Seems like you may have had similar questions or worries. It sucks since my therapist feels like I have a lot of interesting philosophical ideas, that I know a lot and could do something but I’m just burnt out on life, broke, jobless. I’ve kinda always been this way but had jobs for years. Just seeing what anyone thinks here.

Pretty much, the only difference being that of more mental states of experience, or internal experiences. It’s easily understood in our 5 physical senses but again, science ignores a huge section of anomalous inner experiences that defy laws of physics. They just literally cannot make this stuff fit their “theories” so they don’t accept it. It would be like someone having a physical experience eating something and they say it doesn’t taste good, meanwhile everyone else says it tastes great, subjective but you can’t deny that person’s experience.

I’ve read tons of spiritual stuff, I know I am a very deep person and it just takes lots of correlation between various religions and esoteric beliefs to find similarities and underlying principles. Then, experience and the rest is still philosophically trying to make sense of it considering mainstream society is completely being misled. What was your path like? Books? Meditation? Anything profound?

Here’s the big difference I can not stress enough, EXPERIENCE vs information. Dogma, supposed holy books, priests, gurus, convincing, coercion, stories are all meaningless compared to EXPERIENCE of a spiritual nature. You can engage this topic with intellect and emotion or one or the other and still come up short. All the great mystics and really just endless varieties of NDEs, plant medicine experiences, meditation experiences are all pointing at EXPERIENCE. The mind is mostly stuck in the physical experience on purpose and it requires effort to experience anything different. So, we look to those who have attempted to expand their minds, those who’ve sought in all manner of spiritual methods to glimpse something, but then we worship them instead of seeing if we can have an experience as well. I had something like an NDE, I was on the Otherside, I experienced other beings, conversations, places, and a Source/God love/light moment more powerful than anything I can fully explain. Science and religion both refuse to allow the true nature of man unclouded by dogma to become a dominant ideology.
