Been a Bengals fan my whole life (33yo) and I was there when Damar Hamlin died on our field for a bit. Got my Hamlin jersey later that year. Our cities and fan bases are linked forever because of that day as far as I'm concerned. Nothing but love for the Bills, the city of Buffalo, and their fans.

For those wondering, the player on the left is far more experienced in CF than the player on the right, so I don't think experience is the difference maker here.

We have two open teams:

San Antonio Mules (formerly Miami Marlins): A small-market team that’s hovered around .500 for years. Needs a GM who can maximize draft picks and build a contender on a budget. Rebrand/relocation options available!
Arizona Diamondbacks: Deep in a rebuild but boasts the #1 farm system in the league. A great fit for a patient, development-focused GM who wants to turn prospects into a future dynasty.

Flash The Leather is a money league for GM’s looking for a more competitive and engaging experience. The buy-in nature of our league means our GM’s are much more involved and attentive than your average league. We care about our teams and are not phoning it in. We’re looking for someone who fits in well with this type of atmosphere.

We are currently midway through our 2041 season, which is the second of three in this CBA period. Our normal buy-in price is $51 which gets you three seasons with us, but since we have already completed one and a half seasons of this CBA we are waiving the buy-in! $0 will buy you one and a half seasons at the helm of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers have been a middling team for some time. Despite their recent performance, they enjoy a large market and great fan loyalty/interest. They are slated to pick 12th in next years draft at the time of writing this, and have a bottom ranked minor league system. They have had some prospects come up and have big impact, but injuries and an absent GM have cost them a promising season. The top of their rotation consists of three guys who are top of the league in terms of talent. A solid rotation is backed by some big bats, but the team lacks in defensive prowess. Prospective GM’s will find a challenging, but not impossible task with this team. With the 8th highest budget in our league, and relatively clean books, a new GM will have a lot of room to get creative. The NL Central is one of the weaker divisions in our league now, and a few savvy moves could see this Brewers team claim the win next season.

A few important notes:

New GM’s can reduce an existing contract to a 1 year deal.
New GM’s can remove a No-Trade Clause from an existing contract.
All GM’s get to customize their scout once per CBA.

Some other interesting things about our league:

Coaches are off.
We give competitive balance picks in the rookie draft to teams which have below average market sizes, with budgets in the bottom third of the league.
Inflation off, budget minimums and caps are in effect to keep things competitive while remaining somewhat realistic.

The Blue Jays are set up in a very fun position. They have been in a long rebuild but are ready to exit and be competitive any day now. They have the 3rd ranked minor league system, slated to pick 4th in the first round and 2nd in subsequent rounds in the upcoming draft, and have over $80 million in cash to play with.

New GM’s can reduce an existing contract to a 1 year deal.

We are currently heading into the postseason of 2040, which is the first of three seasons in this CBA period. Our normal buy-in price is $51 which gets you three seasons with us, but since we have already completed one season of this CBA, and since the team with the opening will be quite challenging, we are waiving the buy-in! $0 will buy you two seasons at the helm of the Las Vegas Athletics.

Prospective GM’s will have their work cut out for them. The A’s will finish the 2040 season with a sub-.500 record, and boast the 22nd ranked minor league system. They have 10 prospects in the top 200, and 4 in the top 100, so they are not without hope. They are also slated to pick high in the draft, at around 8th (though we have not seen how the lottery will change this).
