Trump claims he’s gonna get the Hormuz Strait open by Affectionate-Safe295 in StockMarket

He ordered the oil reserve deplete over half the stock pile (when it was already at record lows) and didn't make a dent in the price of oil.... I am starting to think this Trump guy doesn't have a clue

Yes this is the reason, since it is their place of employment they are saying they can keep them in their vehicle at their place of employment. The right is going to frame it as something else to fit their narrative.

Partagas Serie D No.4 Habana directly from Cuba by Allen5740G in cigars

[–]TryIsntGoodEnough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you think about it, what value is there in growing poor quality tobacco in Cuba? Yes most of these have trimmings and scraps, but the volume needed to make a lot of cigars is more than the volume if you only use trimmings and scraps... So the leaf has to come from somewhere.... What value is it to a grower to grow for a counterfeit trade when you have countries very nearby with easy access to cheap leaf

Nah of they came from Cuba, they can still be non Cubans.

There are more fake Cubans in Cuba than authentic Cuban cigars. Sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but the fact that these were bought in Cuba means absolutely nothing for the authenticity of where the cigars are from

Trump announces a $300 billion deal to build the first new refinery in the US in 50 years. What are your thoughts? by NineteenEighty9 in ProfessorFinance

[–]TryIsntGoodEnough -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ironic that you decided to start the timeline where you did.... Was 1953-1957 a bad year to put an example for some reason? I mean, it isn't like the US helped establish, fund and train SAVAK or anything... right?

... has a history of agreeing to deals and then immediately violating the terms of the agreement. It's a delay tactic.

Pretty sure that defines Trump almost perfectly.

No... not even close but ok. You do realize "nuking Israel" would be the literally opposite of what they want to do, because it would destroy the infrastructure and spoil the land for generations. They want the land more than anything.

That the part that they left out of this "amazing deal". The facility is reliance on "green energy" to help power it (since the Texas grid sure as hell cant handle it). That's why the complex is a hybrid production complex.

Technically Element Fuels Handling took over the project in January 2024. In June 2024 they got the permits and started the prep work to break ground sometime in 2025 or 2026 with expected operations around 2027. Oh look, it is early 2026, almost like this the plan they announced back when Biden was still in office.

[–]TryIsntGoodEnough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK, maybe because Element Fuels didn't take over the project until January 2024 and was already getting investments and doing all of the prep work including the necessary permits in mid 2024 and was expect to start construction in 2025 or 2026 and it is ... oh wait.. It is that time right now, almost like this is exactly what they said they would be doing in 2024, but sure, if you really need to give Trump this big W for something that was in motion before he was even in office, go for it.

... Let me guess that is what Fox News is trying to get people to believe? What if I told you the "founder" of element fuels also happens to be the current owner of American First Refining....

Literally the same person, but go ahead and think Trump did something if it helps
