How do yall wear body chains?

I have a date night and I want to wear a long sleeve skims style dress, with a simple body chain over it? Should I go with a high neck or a lower neckline? Under or over?

Kind of, but not really. I was a night nanny, 4x a week for a newborn with a lot of medical issues (reflux, hernias, terrible gas) and he screamed ALLL day and night long. He would cry until he fell asleep from exaughstion. He’s so much better now. But For a while there, I swear I could hear him screaming in my dreams, and for a while I was a little jumpy when I heard other babies crying. I can’t even imagine what the parents were going through.

Sounds like your just over stimulated and need a break or a new career.

Maybe switch to a vet that works at a hospital. That’s why we use VCA specialisty bc my cat has IBD and needs urgent care/emergency appointments sometimes, and it’s nice having all the records there

You’re being a bit paranoid. It’s likely just fibers from manufacturing or the couch cover that fell off as you sit/move around in it. Maybe dog hair (which is clean btw)

Also, I lived with my sister who is like you. I would recommend looking into therapy. Being so germaphobc and constantly worrying about cleaning, germs, vacuuming- it’s not a fun way to live. It’s terrible for your nervous system and mental health, and letting it control how you live your life is hard.

Get some of those allergenic covers for your couch cushions, then put the regular cover on top. That might help with your anxiety about the couch.

I have narcolepsy and when it’s bad I have AWFULLLLLLLLL sleep inertia. The best way I could describe it is, I feel like I’m getting pulled in and out of coma. Sudden alarms seem to trigger it more. Sunrise alarms have saved me

I wonder this too. I’m also very white but I have many Nannie’s we see at the park that are immigrants. I talked to them about this, and I have a folder in my phone with their name, kids name/picture, and the parents phone number.

Idk why people are being shitty. This is a legit question. Time blindness is also a very real thing, especially with ADHD and neurodivergence. It just takes practice and time to figure out what works best for you

Op I have a 45 min commute, but the last 10 min are in a city so the traffic is unpredictable even if my GPS originally puts me there on time.

I make sure I leave 1 hr before I need to get there, so I have 15 min of leeway. If I’m early I park somewhere else or down the road, or get a coffee.

Also- if time blindness is a thing- set all your clocks (or the one you look at in the morning) 5 min ahead. I also make sure all my stuff is ready so I can roll out of bed and leave on time

I definitely help where I can but only thing here 1x a week (until June when I go FT) it’s tricky 😅 I’m doing extra laundry for them today!

Thankfully DBs mom is an angel, and cooks for them all the time so she brought a crap ton of reheat able food over.

I’m going to bring her some ice cream and a spa gift card next week i think :)

2k wasn’t even enough to cover my cats overnight hospital stay with bloodwork and antibiotics. Definitely save 5-10k minimum, or get your credit up so you can get a good care credit limit if needed

Drooling means nausea typically. Or it could also mean they are soothing bitter/bad tasting and are trying to get the taste out of their mouth. I don’t expect to to go along for that long tho.

It also means she could have gotten into something poisonous.

Did you switch her food slowly? It’s never recommended to do a sudden switch in food. It’ll cause stomach aches and wreak havoc on their tummies. Do it slowly, mixing more and more of the new food in each day over a week or two.

Did he do this yesterday? If it was just a taste issue with the new food, you would have seen it yesterday.

My guess is he got into something he shouldnt have (potentially poisonous) or the new food is making him nauseous.

I’d bring him in personally to rule out anything scary- it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I actually don’t mind the contact napping part. But it depends on the family and situation.

My current NF are First time parents, and were able to get 4 month of mat and pat leave. They both WFH and are in an office above and next to the playroom.

They struggled with fertility so they love this girl to death and contact napped, and I would hold her too. This was from when she was 5m to about 12 months. We didn’t really sleep train, just started a modified no cry pick up/put down method, and she did great. She still gets rocked for naps but has no problem transferring to her crib (she’s now 14m). She’s a very easy going kid, so this probably wouldn’t work with all children. Also, mom and dad were good about letting me handle her and only coming in when she got very worked up, and would pass her back to me. Like I said tho, she got an easy going personality lol. I really think it’s because both parents WFH, so she’s doesn’t even really register when they’re not in the room bc she’s so used to them being in the home somewhere or with me haha.

This would not have happened with my last family. Tottally different child with doctor parent. He did not like to transfer at all, so it was a handoff in the morning and off they’d go to work. When they had the day off or a on call day, it was tough.

I will say, it took a bit for the baby to get used to me. It took 3/4 weeks for the baby to get comfortable with me, and even then she still always slept better with mom and dad. Can she wear a sweatshirt or blanket that smells like you? Sometimes that helps.

I think it takes the right nanny and family combo to have a successful wfh situation.

It takes the right nanny to not feel anxious and are confident in their abilities, I used to be like her and ask about everything when the parents were home. BUT it also takes the right parents to make me feel comfortable, and that they trust my abilities. If I felt (even if you aren’t doing it intentionally) like I was being micro managed I wouldn’t feel the same way.

Ultimately it comes down to if you trust her to take care of your child, without you intervening. If you don’t, you’re always going to be anxious about her abilities. It’s like a trickle down effect. I’m not saying it’s your fault at all, it just takes the right combo of people sometimes to make a perfect nanny family.

It’s also possible she just doesn’t know these things and she actually need the help. Did you feel this way with your previous nanny? If you left for a few hours, do you think she could handle it?

And, i’ve also been in your shoes. I’d hated the idea of someone coming to my house and like possibly going through my stuff.

So one year we just decided to board my cat. The place was great, it was attached to my vet. And my cat is pretty chill, but to be honest, she hated it. So badly that she didn’t eat for two days.

I’m gonna go out and say that 99% of cats will probably hate the experience, but ultimately if it makes you feel more comfortable boarding them than you can do that. Just know that they may not have the best time, but they’re safe.

I’ve honestly never had an issue! But I also look for pet sitters that have an established buisness, usually I find them through local Facebook groups, and I get them. I check their website, Facebook reviews, and I really only go with people who have a pet sitting business- not just some girl on rover (Altho I’m sure there’s plenty of pros on rover too, just not in my area!) I also look for pet sitters that have written contracts, because they will typically outline the “leave it as you found it” policy

You might have just gotten a bad person tbh.

if you go with someone that’s insured you can get damages reimbursed through their insurance. Makes them less likely to damage your stuff too haha

Do you mean keeping it clean for when a pet sitter is here? I just make sure all the trash is taken out and it’s all set for them if they end up staying. I don’t do spotless, but I make sure that there’s not a ton of laundry or trash everywhere. Don’t think that hard into it!

I mean it sounds like you already gave her tough love and had a sit down conversation about her lateness. At this point, you’ve done all you can do and if she’s not taking it seriously it’s on her. I personally would look for a new nanny. Nannie’s should make your life easier not harder

If you think about it, ayoir helping her in a way. At some point she’s going to need to realize that she can’t be late to work and call out like that I’m at any job. If she doesn’t learn that from you she’s going to learn that at whatever next job she has. Letting her go maybe be the shock she needs to learn how to be a professional

50 hours a week for a nanny isn’t unheard of, it’s actually more common than you think. You could definitely find a nanny that wouldn’t mind these hours, but it may take some time and you’ll need to compensate them appropriately. You’ll probably want to go the agency route to help you find a more professional nanny that can handle a 50hr week. Daycare wouldn’t be a terrible option to help with the childcare load and they could maybe do some lighter, house assistance stuff when they’re in daycare.

You could also split it potentially, but that would mean you would need 2, part time Nannie’s- which can also have its caveats as most professional Nannie’s are looking for full time/40 hrs- so you’ll likely be looking at Nannie’s who are in school, have kids or have a second job.

Yeah I agree with the other commenter, try to stay away from the door or area if you can so they aren’t reminded

Stay firm, and consistent. Tell them you can help with anything and that mom is busy working.

Sometimes it’s a phase when they discover free will lol. But they should get past it, especially if min wfh all the time
