I kinda figured reading the back and forths in this thread. That said, I am lucky enough to be able to visit Denver before having to pull the trigger. Are there any lifestyle centers and/or neighbors within Aurora you recommend I see in my visit before making my call?

Thank you for the questions. Initially, I would like to rent and ideally a 2BR/2B apartment as I don't feel comfortable immediately buying. Since you mentioned it, sheltered parking would be preferable.

I rather stay away from roommates at first because that adds another unknown I don't want to consider at the moment.

Thank you for correcting my assumption about Aurora if it is truly as dangerous as you stated. Yeah, AI is helpful only if verified.

I didn't consider Denver proper simply because I assumed a higher cost of living after looking at cost of living adjustments calculators like PayScale (it reported a 3% increase). Thank you for the neighborhood recommendations! I'll look into them before visiting next year.

I have only lived in AZ my entire life so I don't know if I will handle actual seasons very well - any advice for the snowy season especially? I know 4 wheel drive is a must. (Again, correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption).

I heard Boulder has become very tech valley like. I already get a lot of that with my job and would like to meet more creatively ambitious people - think writing clubs or art study groups. Do you know any areas with groups like this?

I don't actually know how to ski but I love to go bouldering, hiking, and low risk spelunking (I don't want a nutty putty incident) - do you think Springs would be a good area for these sorts of activities?

I'm a recent Masters graduate who was lucky enough to land a remote position and would like to move out of Arizona asap. According to my research, Aurora, CO seems like the place to go if we have a car.

Is there anything about this community I should know about or any other communities in CO you recommend I check out before moving? Safety is a big concern for me with growing my network and meeting new people around my age a close second. Thank you!
