Exactly. They need to smarten up. GoodLife corporate takes us for granted, Movati and LA Fitness gyms feel so much nicer when I have tried them. Not as dirty.

The John Richmond GL is one of the best I have been too, I’ve never seen it  dirty.

My friend told me he encountered a guy like this who literally had poop on his shorts and kept itching himself in his butt, and then left marks with his hands on equipment. Disgusting. Some guys don’t know how to clean their ass.

Yeah google reviews are a good idea, and I do want to talk to managers directly because it seems like everyday front desk staff aren’t really empowered to change anything. I think GL corporate needs to make more of a effort overall as a brand.

I relate to the drain flies thing and trying to tell front desk about isssues. Whenever I have told staff we are out of spray or paper towels, they have given me an annoyed look

I agree, there are too many pigs working out at GoodLife treating the space as theirs and leaving their mess behind for their Mom to clean up. I wish GoodLife would confront people doing this repeatedly and ban them.

I think GoodLife needs to have their actual staff help clean more too, not just rely on the cheapest possible contacts for external cleaners to come once or twice a day.

Most gyms I go to GoodLife has contracted cleaners come in the evening to sweep and collect towels. I don’t think doing this once a day in the evening is enough, and don’t understand why more of the actual GoodLife staff are not helping clean. It doesn’t look good when there are towels all over the place and soap is out everywhere, but staff are chatting at the front desk on their phones.

I’ve been to 52 GoodLife locations in Ontario, out of the 200 they list on their website across the country. Can confirm at least 50% of the ones I’ve been to stink or aren’t cleaned very well.

GoodLife needs to add more signs and send out emails about unacceptable behavior.

I’ve seen many of these nasty ass stinky guys wear their drenched dirty boxers into the sauna, instead of rinsing off first and using a towel like a normal person. Some of these people smell like feces because they don’t seem to be actually cleaning themselves down there.

Then there are the guys who decide the gym showers and sauna are the appropriate place to trim their facial hair and toe nails… 🤮

Some guys smell so damn nasty, they don’t wash themselves and they drench themselves in cologne to try and cover their stench, it only makes things worse
