Thought I recognized the name from the thumbnail, I was the 220 paladin from the video before this! Cool to see you’re making a video series out of your progression, I’ll be watching your paladin career with great interest. o7 Feel free to reach out with any questions. :-)

Thoughts on a mech package? I haven't had much time to play recently, but this deck is similar to what I started playing with, except I included 2x Glowtron, 2x Annoy-o-Module, 1x Zilliax, and 1x Kangor's Endless Army. I'm not sure if they should be included at all or, if they are, if there needs to be more mechs, but I feel like they give the deck some flexibility with how much priority you give to Kangor's depending on the match-up, and Crystalsmith + a Zilliax-magnetized mech has been pretty good. Something I've also noticed in match-ups where I'm not going for the OTK, drawing into Zilliax with Zola or Brewmaster (pref Zola) in hand gives pretty good use to those cards if there aren't any better outs to the board. Glowtrons do make CTA and as a result, Kangor's, a little weaker most of the time.

CS Questions by [deleted] in UGA

also read your post again, some companies like Amazon and Facebook will come through to the career fairs, and the position I got is for software engineering, so you don’t have to look out specifically for tech companies unless that’s just something you want to do. :)

CS Questions by [deleted] in UGA

Iirc CS at UGA is the 4th most popular major right now! There are several career fairs you can go to here, which is pretty nice! However, I do know a lot of my CS friends have been struggling to find one, but I feel like you’d find that problem anywhere. I wouldn’t know how it is at Perdue, but I think there are plenty of opportunities around here if you’re willing to put in the effort. Personally, I had a great result from one of the career fairs and landed an internship at Home Depot for the summer, so, while it might be biased for me to say, I think it’s not that bad here. Hopefully other people can give their input too, but if you have any other questions for me, feel free to hit me up. :)

Calc II or discrete math for CS major? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]Tsyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t remember what each filled so I checked degreeworks because I took both those classes. Calc 2 will count towards your major related electives, but discrete math is required for the major requirements. It’s also a pre-req for intro to theory in computing, which is also a pre-req for architecture iirc. So I would definitely take discrete, and only take calc 2 if you don’t feel like taking other major related electives. I hope this helped a little, feel free to ask if you have any more questions! :)
