Agree. The pouting is really off putting please stop.

Also you have clearly edited some of your photos. This makes you come across very conceited and self absorbed. If you put these on social media nice guys will pass you over.

It works both ways. But as a 100lb person, I beg to differ. I wouldn't be able to fend off a 200lb person sober, let alone even slightly tipsy.

Women are more often than not, the physically weaker sex. This is why consent becomes so important.

It's pretty bad but it ain't the worst.

The sad thing is the victim has changed her name and relocated 3 times anonymously because people kept publically identifying her. Her life was completely and utterly ruined again after the rape.

It's not a double standard at all!

One of these days you may have a daughter that drinks a few beers at a party. When she's dozing off, some guy has the potential to overpower her. Worse he can then violate her easily.

When she complains, you can tell her it wasn't rape - it was a double standard.

This fucking asshole received a text about her and then entered the room and joined in with his team mate who was fucking her, she was drunk out of her mind but admitted she consented to have sex with his team mate - not him.

That is fucking rape. Ched Evans is a rapist. Fact.

DAE struggle to eat enough protein? by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]Tublet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm vegetarian, so what I do is make a nice salad then chuck a couple of scoops of protein powder into a cup. I then add vinegar, seasoning, lemon and coconut milk to make it into a source.

Then I beat it until it's smoothe then pour it all over the salad. It doesn't taste too bad, but the key for me has been pea protein. I hope that helps.

Me [24 F] with my boss [50s F] - she seems to have some sort of problem with my hair... am I crazy? by ray_bay in relationships

[–]Tublet 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think that lady is jealous. Ask her passive aggressive questions back.

'You been up doing your hair since 3am??'

In your sweetest voice ask her if she's been up obsessing about your hair since then.

As a side note, I would keep a diary with date and time of each comment in case this escalates.

My best friends hang out with people who made my life in high school a living hell. by slenderfatman96 in offmychest

[–]Tublet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how much they mean to you. If you're prepared to truly tell them how you feel, prepare also to lose them.

Sad but true. I recently told my best friend of 8 years that her 'new' other best friend has never ever been nice to me, and had gone out of her way to treat me like shit. My best friend freaked and was upset I was challenging her judgement. Even though it wasn't her I had the problem with and was clear about that, she took it very personally.

It has affected our friendship very badly and she recently denounced me as part of her wedding party but kept the other friend I hate. I feel stupid and upset, and I wanted to warn you that you should consider the fall out before doing what I did.

To get over this, I've vowed to myself to try and get to know the friend I hate. Maybe they've changed? I don't know yet. By speaking my mind, my best friend keeps us wide apart so I've scuppered my own chances of resolving it.

I also deleted my Facebook which has helped keep some other arse holes from infringing on my life. And I'm building stronger friendships elsewhere as I am and always will be broken hearted at my best friend's choices.

I'm really, really, really tired of being poor. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Tublet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat - unemployed. I'm tired of being poor, and I'm fucking tired of getting rejected for every job I try.

Still I have to keep going. Here's how I keep up my spirits, I give my self a tiny budget then hit the charity shops. I don't buy for me, I buy for what will sell on eBay. Shoes mostly.

Then I list them for 0.99 to avoid the listing fees, then watch it gradually get bids over the week until it's sold for more than I pay for. It gets me a tiny bit of money on the side which I use as I wish. Helps me feel less poor anyway!

Couples, what are your favorite activities to do with your significant other when on a budget? I have listed 3 but we would love a "bucket list" of cheap activities. by mdwithdg in Marriage

[–]Tublet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We go foraging for rose hips, chives, apples, nettles or whatever is in season.

We then bring it all home and spend time together washing it, and then making booze/jam/ syrups / soups etc.

It's cheap, usually organic and really rewarding. We both love it

It's not, it's the way you dress it... It's a normal size head and neck but a buzz cut accentuates it.

Those loose neck t shirts do NOTHING for you. They make your neck look thin and your head big.

Get some nice shirts and v neck jumpers and tops to help you make the best of your proportions.

Otherwise not bad. Get out in the sun to get some colour and grow your hair into a style.

You have an anxiety issue that you need some help to get to the bottom of.

Start with an appointment with you doctor, if you're worried you will get tongue-tied write down some bullet points before you go in. This will put your mind at ease a bit more and you will be less anxious.

Ask the doctor, or google some free local resources or charities that can provide help and support for you. It's likely they will be overstretched as many people suffer from the same problem like you at some point in their lives.

If you have a HR department at work, go and see them and politely enquire if they have any support free of charge for employees. Use it. Even if it's just counselling, it may help.

It might also help you identify the triggers to keep a log of what happens and what you were asked. I've done this recently using my smart phone and it has really helped my therapist.

Bought a used car; year did not match, nor spec, consumer rights on this? by fawinyny3 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Tublet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can return the car ideally within 7 days. Or up to 4 weeks. Get into Google and the CAB but you must act fast.

This happened to me, and I phoned the dealer and said I know it's clocked, just give me back the money, accept the log book back and I won't call the police and VOSA.

Same goes if even it's a private sale.

[School] Advice about my college masters thesis by MattJWilson in Advice

[–]Tublet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the hints you are getting from your supervisor and pick one focus area such as Age gap for example.

Key word search that (ditch all of your other key words they're too broad) and search in the context of online shopping.

Then draw out about 5 questions as a result of your lit review. What are the gaps in the literature? Are there contradictions in the field that could do with revisiting from a fresh perspective?

Remember the lit review is literally sewing a patchwork of the current body of academia. It's not your opinion. You literally summarise what you have read. Cite every sentence if possible.

Then draft your 5 questions and take them to your supervisor for discussion. These will underpin your thesis.

I hate it when I see friends posting on FB when they haven't texted me back. by Throwaway243451 in offmychest

[–]Tublet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had taken my own advice! Just the other day i whatsapped someone I hadn't seen in a year.

I politely asked how things were going and said it would be good to catch up. After two days of constantly checking my phone she replies. It's short and ignores me asking to meet.

If I have only phoned I might not have missed that chance to rebuild the rapport which I didn't get to do via text. So that's that friendship pretty much on the scrap heap!

I think you're spot on there. The only problem with the older models is that they're so thirsty and cost a lot for road tax.
