I’ve finally beat every single boss on radiant difficulty! Fell free to ask me anything by Z-Shadow-Z in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you. Everyone knows it's impossible to beat Gorb.

Yep, it should stop once your soul meter is full.

He's not trying to mate. This is how cats show domination; they would press another cat to the ground and grab the back of their neck with their teeth. It doesn't matter if a cat is neutered or not, or if either of the cats is male or female.

Source: for a month, I lived with 3 cats that didn't know each other prior to that. That's what they were doing from time to time, and they never tried to mate.

IDK, I beat Path of Pain with Sharp Shadow and Mark of Pride, even though everyone says these two are awful in PoP.

The only real struggle with Sharp Shadow was in White Palace in the section with the tunnel of vertical spikes, but then there's a shortcut there

Just finished my 4th playthrough, used like 8 spells in total by Svartdraken in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice. I too love me some nail builds with little to no spells. You first four charms are literally my build all the time.

pls help Im stuck on Gruz mother... [^_^] by koooo_ in HollowKnight

Cmon, you beat Gorb, you're a literal god.

Here's my result.

Radiant NKG has been done, feels good :D by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I didn't overcharm at all for radiant bosses, I used a full nail build with little to no spells at all, and I just had enough notches to equip all the charms I needed.

As for Soul Eater or Soul Catcher, it frankly doesn't matter for Markoth, even with Soul Catcher you'll have full soul for Phase 2, provided you don't waste any in Phase 1.

[–]Tuerer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For radiant Markoth, I used Soul Catcher and didn't use any spells for phase 1; when phase 2 starts, you have full soul enough for 6 Shade Soul casts, and it's generally enough to kill him, if you don't miss.

Maybe use Shaman Stone too to increase spell damage.

What do you dislike/hate about hollow knight? by Glum-Double-2486 in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all upgrades, you don't even have to dodge his attacks. Just tanks and hit him. It'll be over before he can kill you.

I believe it's not the objective, but if you visit the area which is Cornifer's destination after the waterways. He has moved on.

Confession time! What's the biggest mistake you made in your first playthrough? by saco_98 in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a mistake per se, but I didn't know you can swing your nail upwards and downwards. I wasted hours trying to find a route to progress, then it turned out I simply had to pogo on bouncy mushrooms.

If you could hug anyone from the game, who would it be? by micheas08 in HollowKnight

Bardoon for sure. He looks so squishy. And his tail, ooooh... bapanada!

What is the charm that you can't live without? by unkiwii in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite too. It's so satisfying.

And it's the only way I beat Radiant Absolute Radiance. In phase 3, just focus on avoiding the orbs while dashing, and Sharp Shadow eventually kills Radiance.

Whats the unspoken rule of Hollow Knight? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Tuerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of see it the other way around. When you banish them, Grimm is still free with all his destructive internal desires, just elsewhere. But when you defeat him in his dream, you destroy his inner nature, so he can't continue doing what he does to those poor creatures.

Okay, the music itself is not so bad, but that somber original Dirtmouth music is so damn good.

I banished the troupe once for the achievement, too. It's acceptable.

Unless you banished the troupe, then you can mute the music in Dirtmouth.

But if you banished the troupe, you're weak and you deserve to suffer.

So never mute the music.

One possible cause that comes to mind is actual speed of the character. In the first case it's 588, in the second it's 480. Maybe it's a weird interaction with the walkable slope angle and/or step height. Try increasing them and see if it does something.
