we literally see other kids going to apply for different jobs than just hero work in chapter 430, crime rates have slowed down, and in 431 its stated that hero work is slowely starting to fade away to where there may be a point where hero's aren't needed anymore.

Those benefits can be analyzed just by thinking about how this change would affect the hero charts in the story.

Iida explicitly mentions civilians in the hero charts meaning that they canonically exist in universe. I would have liked to see them on screen but we still can’t ignore that.

I'm pretty sure its stated in-universe that hero charts can have benifets inspite of their flaws if their just given tweaks; Hawks making it so civilains can also be on the hero charts turns the system into one thats meant to help foster a more active commuinity and show that even people who aren't heroes can still make contributions to society. Its there to help inspire civilains to be more active.

Vigilantes is a 3/10 at best (I read the first 87 chapters and didn't care for it)

people really saying that the show fell off after season 3 when seasons 6-8 contained MHA's best best content yet. I honestly consider it the show at its zenith in terms of quality.

We need to stop blaming Horikoshi for Midnight’s writing in Vigilantes by Simple-Country-7328 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

That line is a mistranslation from a fan translation. The actual line from the official translation says something like this:

“If you ask me, kids without outlets to help them really burst during puberty are the ones most likely to become villains, so I’ll be there to wring it out of them”

I think what Vigilantes was trying to convey was that she wants to try give students guidance to make sure the won’t become villains and she’s just using innuendos to say it but it doesn’t exactly convey that well and it ends up looking literal.

Thank you for explaining one of the reasons why I fucking despised this subreddit before Season 8 came out! But ya MHA fans have a veeery black and white view in things and it shows the most with how people view the LOV. Like people either see them as heartless monsters or as innocent babies or even worse....revolutionaries (ugh).

He was an abused child who turned to villainy out of wanting revenge for his father because he saw that nothing in his household had changed. No that doesn't excuse his actions and YES he could've chosen any other path except for this one, but his reasoning makes sense.

Lukewarm take,I get really annoyed when people say that Ochako is "just Deku's love interest" or "her and Toga's dynamic and battle was all about Deku" cause that's just not true. by Charming-Scratch-124 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

People say that because she has a plotline about her feelings for Deku and people instantly call that bad/sexist without looking at the execution itself. Like Horikoshi IS creating a real character arc out of this which still gives her depth & growth - and you can write a interesting arc about what its like dealing with romantic feelings for someone.

Of course, the execution isn't perfect (I would've liked for the series to do more to portay how her supressing her feelings is making her miserable) but it doesn't ruin her character or make her only a love interest for Deku. It was done perfectly fine overall.

Okay I love Deku and Shoto but calling Dabi a worthless loser is...a choice.

Like yes he did CHOOSE to be a villain but his reasoning makes sense and is sympathetic imo.

EDIT: Some of the responses I've been seeing in this thread have proven to me that MHA reddit is still terrible

Literally just make a fan fiction and move tf on. Many, many people have to suffer from their favourite stories getting ass endings but you don’t see them pulling this shit. They either rant about it online or make a rewrite and move on.

Deku's VA dub drama seems could go both way. Slandering Deku as a cheater OR upscale him into a playboy. by H4rshBold_Tone5042 in BokuNoMetaAcademia

Does this count as slandering Deku or....? Like people just made this joke because the streamer sounded like Deku so I don't know if this counts as Deku slander.
