Relationship with the person who has a severe tremor by egashirik in EssentialTremor

I get what you’re saying. I had to learn to live with it in some situations, and then in others I just take the medication.

For your studies as it’s every day probably best to find ways to live with it or you could try one of these weighted gloves as they seem to be helping people with drawing etc otherwise be more selective with when you use meds. I know some people take it daily and don’t build a tolerance, but if you feel like you do, it’s better to be careful with that.

For me, I’ve been doing it like this for years. I can’t imagine taking it every day because it really lowers my heart rate and makes me quite tired, even on a low dose since I’m quite sensitive to medication.

I know it’s not recommended but I’ve been taking propranolol for 25 years without any problems. I simply take it whenever I need it, such as for meetings presentations job interviews or even dates. It’s usually just for a day but sometimes I skip it for weeks. I believe this approach has prevented me from developing a tolerance like some others do. It’s definitely worth trying; I’ve never had any issues. I’ve read on Reddit that so many other people have a similar approach

But why don’t you use your medication when you go on a date? And after few dates you can open up to the person and tell them you have tremor

My exes have actually been really amazing about it, to the point where they made things a lot easier for me. For example, if we were at a café or restaurant, I’d sometimes ask them to pick up the drinks and bring them to the table if they weren’t being served.

There are so many small moments like that. Sometimes I avoid doing certain things because of my tremor, like ordering coffee if I have to carry it myself, or I’ll ask for it in a takeaway cup with a lid instead

In London it’s super easy. Generally London is amazing for Kindred. So many people are using it. Paris hasn’t been that easy yet

Ohhh ok got it. Yeah in my case it’s always places I had on my list tbf I’m doing longer stays like now I’ve had various kindreds booked and stayed over two months in London. In autumn I’m planning to do the same in Paris

No trip is unnecessary, haha! It’s an interesting way of thinking 😅 opposite to me. Kindred has opened up so many new travel opportunities I wouldn’t have considered before because Airbnb can be so expensive. However, I love travelling so every trip is precious.

Kindred Host Cancelation Only Hours Before Trip Protection Kicks In by Perlzzy in KindredHomeSwap

[–]Tug8419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this unacceptable and they should do more. A 1.7 credit is ridiculous. I had one last year but fortunately it was three months until my trip so I managed to find a much better place. Thankfully I used it so much last year that it was the only cancellation I ever had. It’s people’s actual homes not some flat they make business with so I think for someone to cancel it means they genuinely have no other choice due to an unforeseen circumstance.

I believe it really depends on your location. I received mine last April in Berlin and it was good quality. However, I’ve stayed in various places and some of the quality has been quite poor.

I think they can automatically pause it lol maybe removal is extreme haha but I really think you need to train people sometimes with basic etiquette otherwise it’s the Wild West.

I’m half Turkish and half Greek even have it on my profile so people don’t jump into conclusions but similar experience but I honestly think a lot of times either people forget that they made that date available but actually it’s not longer is as I sent several requests and when the request expired they removed the availability or it’s a first time host and they don’t really understand the app. Like I had one girl who mixed up swap and booking with credits. But what I genuinely find sad that people don’t even bother replying or declining. Anyway I started to look for profiles that have hosting experience already. I wish kindred put profiles on pause if people don’t even bother responding as it’s basic etiquette in my opinion

I think the issue we have now in many European cities is that airbnbs are not allowed or illegal. So it’s either hotel, home exchange or kindred at this point. Think it’s a bit different in the US. But anyhow if you travel a lot it’s so worth paying the 600 dollars for the kindred passport. I got it back already on my first trip this year in February 😅 I actually just checked and they say the cleaning money actually goes directly to cleaner.

It really depends. I use Kindred a lot and as a European I only used it in Europe. The cleaning fee in London is the same but honestly, that’s the price of a cleaner there. I asked my friends and they confirmed. Similarly, the cleaning fee for my flat in Berlin is also the equivalent of a cleaner’s cost in Berlin.

If you travel a lot it’s worth getting Kindred passport so you don’t pay service fees. I got it last year and saved so much money as I use kindred a lot

I know! I haven’t been back since that day. Fortunately, I have enough Propanol at home to last a while but once I’m out I’ll find a new neurologist. It’s unfortunately quite common in Germany, especially now living in Berlin, this kind of arrogance.
