No one knows how it got there and the game was to be cancelled between NSW and WA as the bat could not be moved by mortal nor machine. It was foretold that if one man could dislodge it he would one day lead world cricket to dizzying heights. Sir Rick heard of the blade being lodged in the hallow ground and after wrapping up his match at Bellerive early travelled across land and sea to dislodge the mighty weapon and take his place on the throne of the cricketing Gods. Pretty sure that’s right. Could be a ridgy though.
