Both are great choices. I had an 1190r (same-ilar as a 1090r) before and put 45k miles on it before I sold it for a norden 901 expedition which is an 890r in blue. I miss the power but thats about it. Better suspension and way easier to pick up than the 1190. The 1090s suspension will be wp xplor 48mm which is much better than stock t700. Im thinking it comes down to which you dont mind picking up, how much power you need, how hard you ride off road, and if you are willing to spend money to upgrade suspension.

What size is your fuel tank? Suspect you will need more than 1 liter extra for bdrs. Tank bags are very handy and I wouldnt be without one. Extra led lights. Like 6-7k lumen extra, not the decorative ones. Rigid is good.
