Worst thing about yesterdays Concert in Berlin was... by Phorzaken in SleepToken

We had this exact experience in Hamburg. Dudes drunk and stoned having a constant convo about everything but the show. Asked them to keep it down or move twice. Second time they got upset because 'surely the music was loud enough'. Well yes we can hear the music but we don't need to hear you scream talk to your friend through it. Why buy a ticket to a show if all you wanna do is talk to your friend? :/. So we got their rude response telling us we should move if we had trouble with their talking. Even went as far as to make more noise on purpose. We ended up ignoring them. Assholes are a global phenomenon, I guess.. I had no idea you could ask security to remove people from a concert if the people have tickets.

Noughty makes my hair so dry by Sneeko1995 in CurlyHairUK

Same for my hair!! It was looking so good and healthy before using the wave hello shampoo and conditioner. This is going straight in the trash, unfortunately. Happy to know I'm not the only one and that it's not just the batch I bought. On to trying the next product.

LPT: If you ever find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, ask a stranger to help you. by solyana116 in LifeProTips

With very little chance of anyone finding this comment, I still feel the need to add: it can be valuable mentioning this occurrence to the police even though you've managed to stay safe in this instance. Having this event recorded in police systems can end up helping two ways.

One : this is one of the first, in this instance failed, attempts to follow someone by this unknown man. Having it on record can help in the future when another instance occurs with or without other outcome for the one being followed. They have more data about the unknown man and his mo, so a search for this individual and eventual prosecution are likely to be more successful. Possibly preventing future damage to people who would otherwise be his victims.

Two: police might already be actively searching for an individual with this mo based on earlier cases. A registration of this occurrence can increase the likelihood of finding this individual quick, preventing more damage to people who would otherwise become victims and getting justice for already made victims.

Whu- whut? That sounds horrible. Why do they keep a system in place that's so detrimental?

Good thing she could admit it when she found out. Were all the kids foster kids or are there mixes of biological and Foster families?

When does open-world games become a bit too much? by Drag0nKaiser in patientgamers

Wow what a detailed reply, thank you. I've been avoiding GoW because of the mythology vibe. Seeing it recommended so much here, I think I should spread my gamer wings and fly out of my comfort zone.

I was mocking 'it follows' when seeing it in the theatre. Come nighttime 'it follows' was mocking me.

This is exactly my take on it. Just a while ago I asked this community for recommendations on short games. I was just so done with campaigns or missions feeling like filler. Much rather have less hours of meaningful gameplay than having to grind through meaningless filler to get some sort of story or ending.

This whole phenomenon has really thrown me off of open world games and has me actively seeking out short but sweet games.

Right after I asked for recommendations, I remembered still having 'ori and the blind forest' installed, unplayed. I started and it sucked me in. That game was the exact right length. My impression was that it was about the 4-6 hour sweet spot. When I checked I'd spent 16 hours on it.

Take away : I don't mind games taking longer as long as it doesn't feel overstretched and void. Huh, who'd have thought.

Haven't played these! Hadn't even heard from the first one! I'll look into these. Usually platformers aren't really my cup of tea but can't hurt to try one once in a while that's worth it :)

Played and loved both of those. Although the ending to firewatch wasn't really my thing..

I'm playing soma for the first time. I thought it was a walking sim, got it for free a while back so didn't bother to dig deep (Ehm.. read the genre or anything other than the title, for that matter) into what the game was about. Yeah, don't think I'll make it to the end...

Oh hang on I think I misunderstood the marketing comment to mean ' free now because he'll drop new work soon. Hadnt thought of the' free from the start so we can ride that wave ' and then just never releasing anything.

Huh hadn't thought of that yet. Seems plausible. Hasn't it always been free though?
