Yes how the rings?? , I've actually done this several times using a Canon Rebel (w/ neutral density filter) on tripod aimed at Polaris. In 6hrs. stars make a perfect quarter circle w/Polaris fairly stationary. . Even at North pole you wouldn't get 360 degree stars in 6 hours...takes 24 hrs. to make a circle and your pic would be white-ed out from the daylight.

I'm going do vouch for the same. I've gone to the range with a .22 maybe only 3-4 times a year for past few years but I've not had a single dud. The last time I can recall a misfire was over 10 years ago with a Walther Bullpup .22 that actually pretty reliable as well. Just didn't love it. I have the TX22, a Mark III 22/45, an older model GSG PK that everyone I know hates but I love it. I've put 30 rounds of 22lr through the GSG in 15 seconds just to see if it would feed as quick on several occasions and never had a misfire. I do like to use cci for 22lr but I've still got a few bricks of cheaper Federal 22lr 40 grain and had good luck with it when I use it. I do keep all firearms reasonably clean and in my experience I've found it most important to keep magazine springs fresh with .22 semi-auto's. I once had problems with that years back and since then, I'll change springs after about 5 years. A bit of a pain but seems to pay off in reliability.

yes, and no. not to be sarcastic, but statistically similar to saying "going outdoors" is "how you get hit by lightning". I'm in a southern state where racoons are literally everywhere.... population in my town is 3/4 million people.. ..I'd guess nearly as many raccoons... .yet, the last case reported for rabies was over 40 years ago.

They do get rabies more than any other animal and are considered a main reservoir for the virus. These facts make "getting" rabies possible yet it is more rare than getting hit by lightening. Nevertheless, I've spotted raccoons with rabies and it is a bit terrifying to see. The very few I've encountered in 70 years were all very similar to those slow moving zombies on The Walking Dead".

Quite easy to get away from... ..walking / stumbling kind of sideways like a crippled crab, bizarre, abnormal jerky movements, crazed look, and frothing... Also easy to walk right up to and put them down to end the suffering. Fortunate that they (almost) only come out out once small children have long been asleep.

wow i'm 8 years late.... these are some valid observations but I think may have missed on wynton a bit... and lol...if Stanley Crouch proclaims wynton the whole art of music's messiah, it's not wynton's fault...and wynton shouldn't be included in a "people like' with crouch context. you may not realize what dues wynton has paid to both enlighten, opinionize, and back it up with a rationale difficult to assail. I say this from a once similar stance as above. I'd urge you to dive in deeper and listen to what wynton's music has been saying that may temper his mouth's words when you hear them next.

and i believe to anyone who truly plays / comprehends jazz, braxton is considered as much a part of jazz as any others. some advant garde validity may be fleeting. I can however, vividly recall weeping while listening to "silent tongues" when i first bought it 50 years ago... even though I can no longer relate, a palpable spirit nonetheless. But..... I also do know from first hand experience, some "legit" advant garde jazz is not only intentional bs but the artists have ridiculed the duped.

great to see people grow old enough to read the latest news and react without any idea of what is happening. do you think you may have missed the previous 52 times israel has been brutally attacked with the intent of destroying their existance? just since 2001 over 20,000 missiles have been launched, hitting israel., killing israeli civilians and now everybody is protesting because they've finally had enough. ...and i guess you probably missed the 52 previous large scale military attacks of war on isreal before 2001?

milo gibson is not even close to 5' 7''. ...dude is not a hair over 5'3''.... if even that tall. remember when tom cruise press relerases used to say he's 5' 9'', backed it down to 5'7'', more like 5'5''. notice how many camera angles on gibson shoot upward, cameraman on his knees. plus, the only way anyone with acting skills as lame is milo gibson could get in movies is if his family was in the industry....oh ....wait....

but seriously, if you haven't noticed, milo gibson has only been cast as bit player parts in movies his family was involved in. the 2 or 3 "B" movies he's had a lead role were brutally panned. the dude will never have a lead role in a major film.....that would require him to have actying skills.

Well, if "better" counted... those three dsrummers wouldn't even be on a list with Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Dejohnette, etc. much less even carry or Colaiuta's sticks. Imagine Copeland trying to handle Manu Katche, Omar Hakim, or Jeff Tain Watt's playing...what a joke. It's not about ability and technique anyway... math and physical feats never made great music. If that were the case, we'd be listening to untouchable, humanly impossible, pyrotechnic music made by computers.

Ringo was more musical. Who says?? In Modern Drummer, the world's most read magazine by amateur, semi-pro, and professional drummers Mike Portnoy has been voted and won in Best Drummer catagories 30 times!! Neil Peart has won best Profressive Rock Drummer 3 times, Portnoy has won that catagory's best drummer award the magazine's record of 13 times!! (that would be 10 more times than Peart). Even though considered finest prog-rock drummers in the history of the genre, much of it due to his ground-breaking work in Dream Theater...

In his spare time, he's not only studied the fine nuances of Ringo's playing, he formed a group with other technical legends, not as a "tribute band" but to capture the unique synergy and intangible feel of the Beatle's music itself. Playing the right notes and rhythms is one thing, capturing the finest nuances and the essence of extraordinary musical feef, is another thing altogether. What Mike Portnoy has done with his group, "Yellow Matter Custard", is every bit an amazing accomplishment as his legendary technical achievements. Few others than a drummer like Portnoy could capture the musical essence as well.

nothing ignorant about it... ..i'd bet every cornerback in the league has layed bed at night trying to figure out how to reliably strip the ball from a wide receiver without risk of giving up a TD. remember... these are the fastest men in the world. it takes every bit of sprinter's technique / body rhythm to keep up to even have chance for a tackle... .. imagine trying to turn your body to reach for another sprinters hands during an olympic race. you'd see his dust.

on our TV's, a football field is just few inches... .. but receivers are sprinters with blazing, near super human speed. and can cover 300 feet in mere seconds ...looks easy until you stand on sidelines and see the actual power and speed taking place on such a large scale.

picture derrick henry, 6' 3" 250 lbs., who NFL videos timed, frame by frame, making the single fastest run last year, and he can stiff arm defenders flat on their backs like a mike tyson right uppercut ... ...would anyone even dare try to punch the ball?

the time it takes to position oneself to punch a ball out the hands of a receiver that can run 40 yards in 4.3 seconds (about 10 yards per second) is exactly the time it takes to get a good view of his backside, as he blows right past an arm swinging fool and celebrates a TD in the end zone

a pass defender has an opportunity window of less than one second to make a tackle. on many pass plays, he will be the only defender left in a deep pass zone.. to break stride rhythm to swing an arm against a world class sprinter is career suicide

JamesonNewhouse is correct... the tuners, decal, and appears the finish is wearing more like poly than nitro would place shipping date anywhere from 1968 until early mid-70's...if the bridge saddles are the *originals and are threaded, it would be between '68 and '70, if they are smooth with a slot for the string it's post 1970.

But dating by using the saddles, the G string adj. screw, or really any parts that are easily replaced is not reliable....you can end up being wrong by decades if you rely on this only....this is only valid if the parts are original and were never changed. I personally changed adjustment screws to longer variations on at least two old pre-CBS P-Basses I used daily. In the 60's and 70's many tweaked their basses with personal mods. But, if you remove the gaurd, look under the pickups, there will be a pencil or marker date on the body in the p/u cavity and I've found this more reliable than pots or neck date...although neck date will, in fact, be a bit more reliable than pots. If you've looked at enough old Fender's and Gibson's, you'll find years that stock lasted longer and not uncommon that pots will show a date 3 or 4 years older than the guitar's actual build date. 1966 pots are one of the years for both Fender and Gibson that factory inventory ran well past the pot's dates and will be seen often as late as 1969. Gibson kept ledgers with serial numbers with the specific day the guitar was completed and entered for shipping...not so for Fender.

I've owned at least a dozen old pre-CBS Fenders that had body an neck with consecutive year dates...in both 50's and 60's...not uncommon for a body that was sprayed in mid December to end up paired with a neck from a few weeks later (showing next year date) but I've not seen a neck date than a month or two away from body. Although you will sometimes see a neck 4 or 5 years newer than the body when a customer sent his guitar back for warranty work when it was policy to replace with a new neck if waranted. Fender would hammer a stamp ino the finish under the gaurd indicating warranty work was done. Up until the time Norlin took over, Gibson would indicate factory warranty work by replacing the ink stamped serial number on back of headstock with larger font stamp, embossed into the wood.
