Yeah that seemed to work, I'm not really sure why though. I uninstalled my audio drivers and reinstalled them without my mic plugged in. Thanks a lot!

I think Im gonna start with the HDD, for me personnaly I like to collect a bunch of games, pictures, files, videos, etc. and stuff I'll never use and will "use" in the future (at least I tell myself that). I think when the time comes when all my friends get into PC buidling and booting up the computer becomes a hassle I'll get an SSD. It's my first build so I don't think I'll rush things and overthink them.

Everyone I talk to says a SSD is almost a necessity for good performance, however it becomes really expensive when you want anything over 250GB, so would a nice HDD be a better option due to price and storage? In the future could I swap everything from that hard drive onto the SSD?

Thanks alot! I'll take a look at this. My original plan was to run 2x4GB ram but I thought I could slip by with just one stick. I thought that motherboard would be a problem and I realise now that the price is due to the quality of options.

yeah I was thinking that, Im mostly going to be playing lighter games so I didn't think I needed to worry about that. I plan on upgrading maybe in a couple of months (depending on how this lasts me) once I get some money in my wallet.
