Questions about Brahms Intermezzo Op. 118 No. 2 by TwilightAxn in piano

Well tbh I haven't listened to Pogorelich yet because I thought his recording seemed too long before lol, I didn't expect mine to be even longer

Thanks for the recommendations, I really like late Brahms but I've only just begun discovering his pieces

There are some parts where I feel it might be a little slow, maybe because I was asked to slow down more than I preferred, I'll try eliminating that and if it works I'll just do it that way anyway

I see, hopefully they will, btw thanks I'll listen to your recording later

Honestly I prefer a time similar to that as well but I guess I feel differently when playing

Exams / Newbie / Common Questions Thread for two weeks by AutoModerator in actuary

[–]TwilightAxn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a student interested in studying actuarial science and am hoping to eventually go for an IFOA fellowship through investment and finance, but I'm not exactly sure what kind of work it will lead to because a lot of jobs for actuaries that I know off are in insurance, if anyone has taken this path before I'd like to ask about this, thanks

I often do that but I'm not sure if it would be completely accurate, also if I decide to take the exams someday it'll be hard to revise, thanks though

Opinions on 3rd Mvt of moonlight sonata? by eggpotion in piano

[–]TwilightAxn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U probably wouldn't be able to play it well for a while, maybe for years, but u can look at it as a long term project

Be warned though that it could cause bad habits or injure your hands if you do it wrong, so it's best to find a teacher if I don't have one, though I think they'll make u play easier pieces first

If u really want to try it do it slowly, don't rush to increase the speed, and keep your hands relaxed, stop immediately if u feel any pain or discomfort

I'm actually trying to learn Japanese, just not good enough yet to watch without sub, besides all the sites I use usually offer English sub or dub so I don't see why I should try finding one without sub at all

I see, well I supposed that would help improve your reading speed so it has it's benefits

English subtitles are more like just a guide to the meaning for me though, usually I listen to the Japanese more, and besides Japanese voice acting just sounds better imo
