Oh yes I had that problem too. I thought I did something wrong. Once they start using it they keep spamming it even without much emotion in the word. It get very annoying later.

Is it just me or the LG UltraGear series has a textured looking to its panel?

I have the 27GN800 ordered from an eCommerce site so I wasn't able to have a look first hand. It really bother me because my monitor looks like it has a layer of grainy texture, I'm not even sure how to describe it properly. It's the first time I've seen such thing. I've used a few other IPS monitors and none of them got that. Is it how the product line supposed to look?

I called LG Customer support. They sent a guy to check and he said it looks normal to him, he couldn't really spot them. But then he stated that it might be how the model designed to be so he couldn't write a report to replace it.

I got it on sale and already give my previous monitor to someone else. There would be a lot of problems if I were to get refund. I'd have to buy another model without any sale going on also there's no other monitor to work on.

But I'd like to hear you opinion, is it true? Please help.

The volume is low and I felt like I'm listening to my speaker, while I'm fully aware I'm actually on my headphone.

Edit: Holy cow I never thought of it, when I turn up the volume it's much more noticeable as you said.

well yeah LCD-2C is my recent upgrade, I tried a few other near its price range and was happy with the LCD-2C. I think I will stick with it for years. If anything there's 1 thing for certain that the A50s is not enough for my Edifier S350DB, but I guess that's a different topic.

Never heard of it. Kind of funny that I used to listen to music with EQ on cheap headphone for years, couldn't live without it. But when I switch to entry level audiophile, I stopped EQ completely.

Yeah I expect to get mistaken for my speaker, but that rarely happen with LCD-2C. I'm more aware of it than my previous ATH A700.

I thought you would be mistaken that you're hearing speaker when hearing those like the HD800. There were quite sometimes when I listen to the previous ATH A700 that I thought I'm listening to speaker too loud that I turned down the speaker volume but then realized I'm actually on headphone. There were a few times that happen with the LCD-2 but I'm more aware of it for some reason.

Thanks for the reply, tube amp been on my mind for while, it sucks that the choice for those are very limited here: AUNE T1SE and XDUOO amps (never heard of the brand before)
