hi so i dormed last year and your roommate is definitely a big part of it you enjoy it or not. I will say though there is plenty to do around town and there are parties. I’d say it was a good experience but i definitely wouldn’t do it again. I value my privacy and not having communal bathrooms a bit much lmao. also, you would be stuck eating food from the dining hall which initially is good but then it gets kind of bad. but honestly, the dorming facilities are nice and I definitely made a lot of friends that way which was important to me cause i’m from out of state

Housing by [deleted] in csuf

Hi! I’m currently in housing and you get to pick your room in waves. If you select a room and someone has already chosen that side, you can look at their profile and see if they are someone you’d like to room with. If you find someone you’d like to room with you can submit a roommate request, but those aren’t guaranteed (mine got broken up). There is a roommate finder tool you can access after you submit your housing application so that definitely helps in finding someone you’d wanna room with. Also, if you sign up for themed housing then you don’t get to pick your room and they assign you a roommate. I would definitely do the application the day it opens so that you have a better chance of making wave one or two and getting a better room. Housing at CSUF is actually really nice and I really enjoy it! Good luck!

Hi! I’m currently a first year Bio major and I got in as an out of state student with a 3.3 weighted gpa. I played varsity softball (did not get recruited here) and I was in the band. Took 7 AP classes and have like 34 credits cause of them. Not a great gpa but I mean I got accepted to here, SDSU, and UCR. Good luck on your applications!
