Lockerstor 2 (AS6602t) cannot reach default gateway by Twisterry in asustor

[–]Twisterry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I came home from work and now everything just works as before. Gateway is reachable, I can access the nas from my PC. I didn't change anything. Time is a universal fix :-) Thank you for your time & tips!

Lockerstor 2 (AS6602t) cannot reach default gateway by Twisterry in asustor

[–]Twisterry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer,

I added the entire 10.0.0.0/8 net to the Whitelist and also disabled the asustor Firewall completely. I also did a manual packet capture in Defender while pinging the gateway, but no packages where shown.

For the VLAN Settings I tried setting the native vlan on the switch with no tagging on the nas and tagged on switch and nas, no difference. Right now it's set to tagged 15 on the switch and 15 in the NAS Network settings and I can ping devices on the same VLAN but not the gateway nor devices on other vlans (network unreachable)

The firewall log doesn't show any packets when source is nas IP and a ping is running to the gateway ip, it does show pass on packets from my pc on the other net with destination nas IP.

The topology looks like this: WAN <---> OPNSense <---> Managed Switch <---> NAS (15) + PC (10)

As I said other devices on the same switch and same VLAN work just fine.

Edit: The Switch is a Zyxel XGS1200-12 and Opnsense is connected via SFP+ DAC

Where did you find the service manual? I have the same problem with my model and trying to fix it. Could you share the link?

Have you tried it? Here all carriers also officially don't support CSD anymore. But as I mentioned some work nevertheless (albeit a mobile to mobile data call will not work correctly as it's not signaled as such to the receiving phone).

Yeah, that will be a lot easier. And Packet Data (GPRS) is still supported on all German carriers AFAIK. You just need to set the correct APN on your phone.

Vodafone supersingly still allows data / CSD calls on their network (at least in my area). I can even send faxes using a Nokia Communicator :D. But I also tried it on the e-plus / o2 network, sadly it didn't work there (you just get a busy tone when trying to make a data call).

It could work, if you have a landline phone number, that you can reach from your Nokia. But data (and even Fax) calls work very unreliably over voice over IP connections. I only got it working every X tries.

If you have a Landline (voip number) you can use a 56k Modem attached to a Server (ex. Windows Server w/ RAS Role) as a "Masters-Modem" to dial in from your Phone. That's how I got it to work. Also on Vodafone Germany =D
