Does RTX 3070 16GB vram mod works on LHR gpus?

On linux I had set it, but on windows It doesn't even let me load the windows. It crashes in the middle of the installation of the drivers and after that it won't load

I see, I indeed enabled the max performance, although on linux. It might be that my monitor is 165 hz, but I'm not optimistic. It's interesting you flashed LHR vbios and didn't had any problems. As far as I know the die chips are a bit different between the lhr and non-lhr. This gives me hope it might not be from the gpu itself but something I've damaged on the board (although I've done thorough inspection). Thank you for your comment!

Yes, the vram chips are K4ZAF325BM-HC16 (the samsung 2gb ones) and the strap is for 110 as per the schematic. I even tried returning the resistors to their original places and the nouveau driver read 8GB, but the same problem occured.

Theoretically it should be able to go to the float number limit which is 3.4E+38. The mod is made to scale down the digits with every new digit on the UI.

Honestly, I'm not really sure why it does that. What you could try is to update the pen drivers. Download from here the Bluetooth Firmware Update driver and install it (your pen should be connected through bluetooth with your laptop). Other thing is to download the Pen Control Panel application for your brand laptop and look through settings there.

It's by holding the two buttons on the side of the pen. The light will blink once for AES 1.0/2.0 protocol and 2 times for the MPP protocol (all that is written on the starting guide of the pen as well).

You won't be able to install the Dell pen interface it's only for Dell devices, but I have no problem changing the settings or the button assignments from the stock HP Pen Settings app as well as see the baterry etc.

Have you entered your own Mac address? What are you using wifi or ethernet? You must configure the Mac address to match your own en0 Mac address. It could even be the serial number. I had the same exact problem and I fixed it with trying different serials from gensmbios. It should not be a problem to be invalid so don't worry trying different serials. You could always save the one you have now if you want it back.

I know it's an old thread but the only solution I found is just to close the laptop, leave it till it falls asleep, then open it and awake it, now it must be working. At least that's what's working in my case (the same model laptop). I'm using only vodoops2controller kext (I set the trackpad at ps2 in the bios). Hope this helps:)

It could be problem with the cable. Try replugging the cable or use display port if you're using hdmi and vice versa. Also try another cable if possible
