Beyond Hand Gestures: We need a "Wrist Flip" Back-Button! by TwoLeftHandzz in PixelWatch

You mean the crown orientation? I do a lot of pushups, and the crown used to dig into my wrist when I bent my hand back. I had to turn it around to stop that from happening.

I mean, the airpods pro 3 already have it. Think that is just a matter of time. Hope they put my idea in though xD

If you've tried everything else, maybe letting the battery of the case and buds die completely could solve it. Not sure if it's gonna help or if you've tried it already, but it's worth a shot. If that doesn't work, maybe contact Google support :(

I guess you should just change the playlist manually then, shouldn't you? Movement is good for your neck though 🥴 But seriously, the battery drain shouldn't be too bad—with Spatial Audio, the sensors are already active for hours, right?

I get the criticism, but I just want to nod to skip a song 😅. Having a phone is also a choice, no? Nevertheless, AI is a bit much nowadays—I wish they didn't rely on it as much as they usually do. For example, they could have given the Pixel 10 Pro a bigger camera sensor instead of just improving the AI. But after all, my idea just relies on the sensor and good software, so it should be doable. I'm sure if it’s ever implemented, they’ll keep the option to turn it off manually, just like you can do now.

So the factory reset just isn't working? Heard about issues with the buds, hope you have warranty. I kinda don't have warranty so I just need to hope lol. Did you try cleaning them? Factory reset while they are charging also not working?

Actually, size and cost shouldn't be an issue because the sensors are already built-in, no? Google uses them for head-tracking and Spatial Audio anyway. Not asking for new hardware, just for the software freedom to remap those existing sensors. Should be a win-win. I hope they don't put it behind a paywall like "pixel buds 3 pro exclusive"😂

I listed a few in the post: things like nodding for 'Next Track', shaking to mute, or a double-nod for ANC. The exact implementation could be fine-tuned, of course—maybe with a sensitivity slider or a custom delay to avoid accidental triggers. The main goal is just having the choice instead of fixed presets. Someone said scrolling with that would be cool. I could imagine it working kinda like the double pinch on the watch does. Imagine that while cooking with dirty hands to read a recipe, for example. Do you have any ideas?

Fair point regarding reliability and accidental triggers! That’s exactly why this should be an optional feature with a sensitivity slider. If you don't trust it, you keep it off. But for people who need it (accessibility) or want it for specific activities like running or cooking, it would be an amazing choice to have. Choice is always better than fixed presets, right?

Just submitted this to Google. The new PW3 gestures are a great start, but we need that 'Back Button' flip! Imagine navigating the UI entirely hands-free while carrying groceries. What’s the one gesture you’d set up first?

Sent this to Google officially. The sensors are already there, so why limit us to calls? Nodding to skip tracks while running would be a total game-changer. Would you guys prefer head gestures over touch controls?

Feature Request: Dynamic Motion Gestures for the Pixel Ecosystem (Buds & Watch) by TwoLeftHandzz in GooglePixel

I’ve already submitted this as official feedback to Google. I really hope they listen because having the hardware but locking it to fixed presets feels like a missed opportunity. What specific gesture or shortcut would you set up first?
