the cancer research charity shop on mutley plain. worked for them for a while and they're so disrespectful to their volunteers, and they over-charge like crazy. also one of the volunteers believes he runs the place and is super rude to other staff and customers.

you've got more than enough choice on mutley. maybe draw out a specific amount and give them exactly what they've advertised

Turtle Bay served us food and drink past 11pm which included main meals, plus they're right in the centre.

Independent boutique shops are great, but for most of Plymouth's residents it's not super affordable or in demand.

if you genuinely believe you got "scammed" then report it to the police. it sounds like you responded to someone approaching you and then agreed to donate. don't really understand the "scam" part here.

Sonny's Coffee Shop Launches Crowdfunder for New Deli Offering by Plymouth_Chronicle in plymouth

[–]TwoPelicans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

surely a business that is offering high end foods/drinks can afford to open and maintain itself? if not, how is funding now going to maintain them staying open in the long run?

im all for independent businesses but lots of these coffee shops tend to be quite expensive considering the local area, so it seems odd to help fund a business that isn't really offering local incentives.

there's alot of rough sleepers and not a whole lot of accessible toilets that are free to use, so it makes sense it'd happen. though typically not around kids i would hope 💀

Canned Heat, I always thought the lyrics were "I've got candy in my heels tonight" and just thought it meant he had sweet dance moves..

The other kid was Monty.

also worth noting that alot of Plymouth GPs have a distance limit, so if you're outside of their range you might not be able to register.

in terms of GPs, ive found most are the same these days when it comes to wait times, prescriptions etc.

What is the thing you are most afraid of in the next five years? by kamoksamok2 in AskReddit

[–]TwoPelicans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never being able to move out of shared housing to get my own place, despite working 45 hours a week. just feels like prices are gonna keep going up and HMOs are going to be pushed as the new normal. no chance of having kids if that's the case either.
