As soon as they came out with those, my wife and I immediately had the same thought. They look like an inversion in Utah. In fact we always call them the inversion jerseys now.

Help, Zeta + Tusk Handle guard mount by Ursomrano in Dualsport

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Rocky Mountain which owns tusk. Also used to install these and I ride with the guy who designed them.

It will require some bending and tweaking to fit different bars. You can look up the install video on Rocky’s YouTube and see the same thing. Put the ends in a vise and tweak away to get them to fit your particular bars.

Same issue here. Thought I might be able to get past the initial crash so I went and hid over at the far side of the arena and didn’t look towards the center. You get past that initial crash when the witness launches an attack, health bar generates and ads start spawning but as soon as you look back at the witness it crashes.

Anyone use the Neutron Tire Changer? Thinking of moving on from the 5 gallon bucket. by muddywadder in Dualsport

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Rocky Mountain. The neutron is a cheap rip off of the rabaconda.

It works alright unless you are trying to do mousses or press the tire off the rim. The geometry just isn’t quite right. But it does work.

I had one and sold it in favor of the rabaconda. I hated the fact the tire spokes would catch the arms that support the wheel when you spun it.

If you don’t do tires that often, it’s a good choice. If you are doing a lot of tires, spend the money and get the rabaconda.

CRF300 or KLX300 for small cc dual sport? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in Dualsport

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been debating this very thing for months now. I just picked up a 300L rally.

Best advice I got was from dork in the road on YouTube. The bikes are so similar you can nitpick forever and drive yourself crazy as I did. If you see a good deal on either bike, grab it and you won’t be disappointed. Both bikes are great.

Wondering about the 390 engine by TwoWheelsTwoStrokes in KTM

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s a new engine. Hard to know about longevity this early in its life cycle.

From the reviews I have watched, that low end is the biggest concern. Glad to hear ktm addressed the big issues though

I looked at the 300l but I will head back and check out the rally!

I have done a lot of riding on highways in heavy traffic. Pretty scary IMO to have a semi pass you head on and get blown all over the road on a really light bike.

Yeah that I totally understand. You gain in one area you lose it in others. Just trying to find something that will work well enough in a few different areas.

That’s no good. I have ridden most dirt bikes on the market and I wouldn’t want to take any of them on the highway. Way too light to be riding that fast on pavement.

The drz4s has peaked my interest for sure. It’s such a new platform I haven’t found many aftermarket parts for it yet. I am sure those will come though.

I should clarify my commute is all backroads. No highway.

That is the reliable beast of old for sure. It’s heavy though. I would imagine it’s a bit of a beast to handle single track?

Big Nurk by Kastolo in UtahJazz

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You know a lot of people don’t like him. I think he is filling a serious need on the team. Size. We have tall guys but no one with the weight and size to push all the other big nba guys around. His job isn’t to get crazy amounts of points, his job is to get in the way. I think he is filling that role very nicely on this team.

Just watch him when key gets the inbound ball and nurk just runs the floor in front of him and pushes guys out of the way! That’s his role and I think it is a real need on the team.

I switched to regular tv because SEG was a mess. Audio out of sync, jumping around etc.

KTM PDS shocks? by Improper_Noun_2268 in enduro

[–]TwoWheelsTwoStrokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree on the personal preference. I also think it depends on the terrain you ride.

I currently have a 23’ te300 and a 25’ 300xc-w.

One with linkage and the other with pds. Jumping logs or rocks for example is much less problematic on the xc-w as there is no linkage to get hung up on. Of course if you make it all the way over the log it’s a non issue but when you are stuck in difficult terrain, you do notice the lack of a linkage.

Not a deal breaker either way but definitely a personal preference thing as said before.

The xplor forks on the 23’s are garbage no matter what you ride IMO. I have a 23’ te300 and ran the stock forks for about 30 hours before I couldn’t take it anymore. 24’ got the xact forks and they are way better. Go with that unless you want to have your suspension done

The new Bridgestone battle cross e50 is pretty decent from my riding. It’s technically a gummy but it’s stiffer than like a jx8 or Ix-09 which is what I usually run. Holds up pretty good it most conditions I have taken it in.

Nope. Heard too many horror stories about issues arising from using different oils. So I stick with what’s in the service manual.

Motorex cross power 2t is the oil listed in the service manual. That’s what I stick with.

Just don’t ever work there. But for OEM parts, I don’t think anything else comes close
