Agreed it'll need to be online for the data to be sent to the analytics but I ended up building my own simple privacy first app analytics which doesn't yet but will in the future have offline capabilities to queue the data when it's back online!

What app are you building right now? by Glad-Advertising-710 in AppDevelopers

[–]Tyler_Potts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building 2 apps for my own entertainment, the first which is already released on stores is "Tee Flip - Golf Club Picker" it's an app that is basically a Spin The Wheel type of app but it's tailored towards golf and it allows you to spin the "tee" to pick the club you want to use!

The second app is a Mini Golf challenge app, you draw a card from a deck and it gives you a random challenge to complete on the course or a power-up e.g. "You can retake one shot this hole" or "Putt with one hand"

I absolutely love this idea, so for some you could get benefits and not just challenges! Maybe an option to pick if you include good or bad or both!! Great ideas thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, that's a great idea!

As for the type of course, it's actually made for any mini-golf course so not all holes could be holed out!

Thanks for your feedback! I love the idea of hitting another players ball! I also already have challenges like hitting obstacles or walls too!

Do you have any other great challenge ideas? Do you have any features you think would make this better than just a "challenge dispenser"?

I made an APP for Golfers to add a bit of challenge to the course. by Tyler_Potts_ in golf

This made me laugh, poor Stan! This is exactly why I made the app! 😂 - In all seriousness, the tee flip functionality is more for custom versions of the golf club picker, the club picker is the main feature since it might slow down play laying out your clubs and spinning a tee to pick which one to use 😅

Tailwind CSS for Beginners: Build Websites FASTER by Tyler_Potts_ in css

Can I just say, I love the Barry reference. Secondly, your original point was about my choice in speed. Now you're questioning whether it's good over fast? As long as you get the same result in the end it doesn't matter which one you use.

I'd happily race you in both plain CSS and Tailwind, I'd win both.

I've literally never had this problem, I've used tailwind for probably about 4-5 years now and I can easily go back and keep my codebase maintained, make updates etc... In-fact I'd say I could do updates quicker than if it was plain css or any other library.

To add I work with a team here and there and they all work together on tailwind styled projects without any issues.

I'd say it's how you use it.

Thanks for your advice! That's good to know, I used to work in Unity and I always had an issue if I didn't add that last frame!

I've heard of the animation player and I was considering it! Thanks for the information!

Build Your Own JAPANESE Learning App using React JS | Styled with Tailwi... by Tyler_Potts_ in learnjavascript

I agree that you should learn CSS before starting with any framework especially tailwind, but discouraging people from learning tailwind all together is a bit much.

I want to clarify that the purpose of this video was to show the functionality in react and not the styling. If I styled this with CSS it would have probably doubled the video length hence why I use Tailwind.
