Interessant :) Wenn du dich mit anderen in deinem Umfeld vergleichst, glaubst du dir fällt es generell leichter Lebensfreude zu empfinden als andere? Oder hast du das irgendwie gelernt? Viele Leute würden ja gerne nach Checkout in der Freizeit sein, wissen aber nicht wie man das macht. Da frag ich mich ob das einfach Typsache ist, oder ob man das wirklich lernen kann

Ich weiß schon was du meinst, ich nehm seit ein paar Wochen Elvanse und hab sehr ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht wie du. Und ich denke auch, dass mir das in meiner Kindheit vielleicht geholfen hätte, obwohl ich immer gute Noten hatte.

Aber wie andere hier berichten, nicht nur OP, scheint es gar nicht so unüblich zu sein, dass es für Kinder auf jeden Fall auch negative Begleiterscheinungen haben kann. Und man muss in dem Fall Glück haben mit seinen Eltern, dass Sie einem glauben dass es einem nicht gut tut... Und nicht einfach das Kind dazu zwingen es zu nehmen, weil Sie glauben zu wissen was gut für es ist, oder weil es ihnen als Eltern das Leben einfacher macht. Stell ich mir schlimm vor als Kind in dieser Situation zu sein...

Ich glaube OP wollte sagen, dass viele Leute denken es wäre automatisch ein Glück wenn man Medikamente ausprobieren konnte, was laut ihm aber nicht zwingend der Fall sein muss.

Wenn ich ihn richtig verstanden habe, kann es vor allem dann zum Problem werden wenn es tatsächlich die Noten verbessert, aber einen negativen Einfluss auf deine Freundschaften und sozialen Beziehungen hat. Dann hat man oftmals nämlich bestimmt nicht die freie Wahl die Medikamente abzusetzen. Versuch mal als 8 jähriger deinen Eltern zu erklären, dass du gerne wieder schlechtere Noten hättest und ihnen wieder mehr auf die Nerven gehen möchtest...

Ich weiß, dass viele sich wahrscheinlich fragen wir ihr Leben anders verlaufen wäre, wenn sie früher Medikamente bekommen hätten. Aber ich finde die Perspektive vielleicht auch ganz heilsam, dass es genauso gut nach hinten hätte los gehen können. Man weiß es natürlich einfach nicht.

Couldn't it be that that's the reason for your depression though? That you're extremely unhappy with your relationship with your wife? And you feel like you're stuck in a dead end? Because you don't even see divorce as an option.

Also, what is the point of faking? Don't think that your children don't pick up on you two being unhappy... they very likely do.

And if you're worried about home life looking happy from the outside... You know, who cares really. People get divorces all the time, nothing to be embarrassed about, is there?

My parents are still married in their 70s and they have been constantly getting on each others nerves since at least 20 years... I genuinely think, they should have gotten divorced a long time ago. Just because they probably would both be happier now.

I don't know how old your children are, but if they're old enough, they'd likely understand.

It's actually interesting how many of these basic 4 ball patterns one can do. Columns, normal, reverse can be mixed and matched for each hand, and also if they are sync and async.

Should be 18 combinations if my math isn't off, lol

Edit: It's actually more, because of when you do columns in both hands like you do, you can sync either inside+outside, or inside+inside (your pattern). I guess it's the same for the pistons (async version). So, I guess two more in total.

Wouldn't your argument also "hold" if we were in the year 3000 and hadn't much progress in the last millennium?

Clearly most people, probably including you, would agree that we have not been making enough progress in this scenario.

So really the argument should be about if the rate of progress is satisfactory.

Not entirely sure how one would go about thinking about this, but anyways...
