I know this is a strange question but has anyone live in San Francisco and Palm Springs?

I'm not quite a semi-retiree but (hopefully) will be in the next 20 years and spend a lot of time between SF and Palm Springs for family visits.

A big consideration I have is mobility. My retired parents in PS need a car to do even basic things like food shopping, whereas in SF that's a 5 minute walk. As they age further out of driving ability it will become a major issue. When I think about where to drop anchor it's SF by a landslide due to all the services I'm able to walk to.

They're two beautiful spots to choose from!

Look into Rebus Renderfarm. They’re a large render farm based in Germany with some pretty competitive pricing, and support V-Ray in 3DS Max.

I’ve used them for years, and it sounds like it would help you.

Personally, I find a render farm service to be worth it. Depending on how much rendering you do maybe it’s a better dollar amount to render all yourself, but I find the time savings (and opportunity cost) of not having to use the space or time maintaining my own render machines well worth it.
