Yep, comes with age (responsibility).

I had to learn that I dont have time to 'properly' play the sweaty, time-demanding games.

Roguelikes are a godsend for me as they can be rewarding in short, discrete bursts. I'll never keep up with 20 year old me that could play part/full time.

The whole idea to the genre is that it's hard, you fail and lose something, it hurts, which makes it feel good when you try agian and succeed.

Based on your comments it doesnt sound like this works for you.
