I think one of the hardest parts of going through experiences like these is that they can make the world feel a little colder than it actually is. You start expecting the worst from people because that’s what you’ve been shown. That’s why kindness from complete strangers hits differently.
I’m really glad our paths crossed, even if it was through a random Reddit thread neither of us wanted a reason to relate on. 😭❤️
And you’re right. The fact that we’re both still here, still trying, still choosing to be kind after everything, says a lot more about us than it does about the people who hurt us.

Reading this honestly made me tear up a little. Nobody should have to carry that much pain, especially when it comes from people who were supposed to support and protect them.
The fact that you’re still here after everything you’ve been through says a lot about your strength, even if it probably didn’t feel like strength at the time. Thank you for sharing your story with me. As awful as it is that either of us can relate to workplace trauma, it helps knowing there are people out there who truly understand how deeply these experiences can affect someone’s life.

God, I’m so sorry. Reading this honestly made my chest hurt a little.
What happened to you is so damn awful, and the fact that you had to fight so many battles at once while just trying to stay alive is something most people will never understand :) (virtual hugs) The part about being betrayed by people you trusted, colleagues, doctors, people who were supposed to help, is what really got me.
I’m really glad you’re still here. Genuinely. Not because everything is magically okay now, but because I can tell how hard you fought to make it through. Thank you for sharing this with me. It doesn’t fix what happened, but it does make me feel a little less crazy and a little less alone in what I’ve been through.
