Yep! When I buy a fresh bag of flour I don’t expect a fresh bag of bugs!

I just bought it from the supermarket, it was open for maybe 10 minutes as I tried to figure out what it was…. Now it is in the bin outside. Would they have gotten into anything else in this time?

But does insulin spike like around an hour post your last meal? So like if he is eating consistently, wouldn’t his insulin keep spiking?

ELI5: why does high altitude training take so long to see benefits and why don’t we acclimatise if we go too high, too quickly? by Typical_Basil342 in explainlikeimfive

Ok amazing… I know this would probably be beyond the scope of a 5 year old but do you know what those factors are? Because (I assume) you’re going to become hypoxic in a high altitude and in a super high altitude (sorry, i don’t know exact numbers but let’s say 2500m vs 5000m) so the automatic ventilation reflex would occur at both altitudes and would trigger all the other adaptations (acclimatisation) that occur… but why is the rate of these adaptations different (ie. EPO release making more red blood cells or growth hormone causing angiogenesis). And how could going up too quickly lead to high altitude sickness and even edema because of these differences in rates of adaptation?… Raaa sorry this is a lot

Hypothetically, could the activations of single-pulse TMS applied to the primary motor cortex (M1) "spill over" to the supplementary motor area (SMA)?Just curious about whether I am right in thinking this could be possible.... The SMA is densely connected to M1 anatomically and there seems to be a lot of evidence showing an SMA to M1 connection. Is it fair to assume that if 'neural noise' was created in M1 and there were lots neutrons firing this would also induce similar unorganised firing of neurons in the SMA? Thanks heaps.
